You Want What!?

With all of this talk and hoopla about raising the debt ceiling and defaulting on our debt; is it really our debt though? Have we the people been spending more than we had on testing the nicotine content of toenails, planned parenthood, national public radio, keeping 2 post offices on the same block, Amtrak routes that no one uses, the list goes on. Clearly it is not the majority of people that have caused this in the sense that they made the decision to spend money on these use programs. Yet, apparently enough voted for those that did; so we got the fecal covered end of the stick because, they don’t require I.Q. tests to vote, and or hold office. So, now we all have to suffer as a result of the dolts ruining the country. So let’s roll up our sleeves and wipe the excrement off our hands and dive into it.
In a recent report by the Congressional Budget Office states that unless we change current laws, fix the economy and so fourth that in the next ten years we will add $7 trillion more to our debt. So is the whole raising the debt ceiling thing actually going to fix anything? Of course not because we will have to do it again very shortly and only be worse off. By the way that is not factoring the rest of the Obamacare spending that, like all entitlements always costs more than projected. They say that as the debt continues to grow there is a negative effect on peoples incomes, meaning that the government would receive much less in revenue, making the problem that much worse.
The main problem is what is called “mandatory” spending. It would seem that if we didn’t pay this the world would stop spending , and Oprah would make a surprise stop at my place for supper. This is also known as the third rail of politics, because like the third rail of a train, you touch it, you pee on it, you’re dead. So nobody wants to discuss the clear failure of these programs, or point out that we are wasting money on these programs. This is the number one expenditure of the feds.

First things first, social security is an utter failure, and that money isn’t there in a lock box like they told us it would be it is spent already on something else, combine that with the fact that we aren’t having any large population growth so who will pay for my generation’s social security? Then you have the cost of the upkeep for the administration buildings and the employees pay and benefits. Of course they pay taxes, but their jobs eat up more in tax revenue then they could possibly pay back into. The answer is simple; shut the thing down. We can’t do it all over night, people are expecting it and planned on it so it wouldn’t be right to deny that to them after they paid into it. So we set a date in the future, say 2050, after that date you can no longer join but benefits will be paid out until the last person dies. In the meantime, you can stop sending your money into it at any time and use that money for a 401k or IRA. The Gipper said in his 1981 State of the Union address that the additional money available as a result of his tax cuts would boost the economy by freeing up funds to invest therefore creating more jobs. The same thing applies here, the money that people would invest into the private sector as a result of the investments made for the peoples retirements. Currently the money that is confiscated from us in the name of social security is squandered on something that it is not initially intended for, and as a result isn’t really doing anything positive. Even if it is required that the same amount of money be set up in another retirement fund, or stop treating us like children and let us make our own decisions. If you are that stupid that you can’t take care of yourself or be responsible for your own future, well you deserve to die out. Survival of the fittest.
Our “humble” leader is trying to play hardball, yet in a rather hypocritical manner. He himself cited principle for not voting in favor of raising the debt ceiling as a senator. He claims that the Republicans are being difficult and walking out of negotiation, yet he himself has walked out. Not just out of the meetings but on the American people. He is certainly not leaving too many options for the house to work with. With all of this calamity on nonpartisan compromise, he threatens to veto every effort that the Republicans suggest. The idea behind cut, cap, and balance is sound, and common sense; but since it came from the other side of the room, they are “not good enough”. He asks for so much, yet fails to suggest anything. Harry Reid after claiming that he felt left out, due to his incompetence and sheer stupidity, has actually come up with something that is probably going to be the one that is selected because he has a D in front of his name. Cut $2.7 trillion over the next few years and raise the debt ceiling high enough, (in theory) to last us until 2012. This is not a long term solution, the long term solution is to quit spending so much and instead of paying just interest, actually make payments.
Once again, we only have ourselves to blame, Barney Frank, Pelosi, Reid, heck even RINOs that have made a career out of sitting on their bums, and suggesting that those that elected them aren’t smart enough to make our own decisions. Vote ‘em out. (Sterilization might be an answer, that way we can get stupidity out of the gene pool.)

Too Little Too Late? The Answer is Private

People are all p.o.ed and perturbed over National Public Radio, to cut funding or keep it. Then you have another stupid leftist quote to add to their ever growing bank of them, by none other than Harry Reid. Yes I myself enjoy cowboy poetry, but I can assure you Mr. Reid that we are in the minority and the world won’t stop spinning if tax payers stop paying for it. The budget has after too many years, finally come to the tip of everyone’s minds. (Which you’d think would be quite easy for those whose heads come to a point.) Yet nobody in office seems to want to do anything serious to fix the problem, just moan and groan and propose feeble attempts to fix it. If you are shot, sticking your figure in the hole might be a solution for the few seconds until you can get an actual dressing on it, but it certainly isn’t a long term solution and not one that most people would even try because, it’s not really going to help. So to best preform the necessary cuts I used a little boot leather, accumulated calluses on my fingertips, and darn near broke a few toes when one of the books fell on my foot. If we think of this in a legal sense, like you would if bringing this to a trial at the supreme court, we have a lot of precedent that supports our cause, and a little thing called the constitution that tells us what we need to fund, and cowboy poetry just wasn’t one of the founding fathers priorities.
Article 1 section 8 of the constitution explains the purpose of the congressional coin purse, or in modern speak, credit card because the coin purse isn’t holding change, but rather moth balls. “ The congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States,”(don’t complain that is how it was all written and spelled) this provides a relatively clear picture of what they should be spending OUR money on. Defense is the first priority, blowing money like Clinton’s $400 doesn’t achieve any of them just like npr AMTRAK and the like. Then there is that vague general Welfare dooflinky. This has a muddled history that even the founding fathers couldn’t quite agree on with three different views on the subject. Hamilton saw it as there are no limits to spending and constantly pushed for this idea throughout his life. Yet the Constitutional Convention turned him down. In Hamilton’s 1791 Reports of Manufacture, he explains his view that the only limits of tax- and- spend power are that duties be uniform, that direct taxes be apportioned by population, and that no tax should be laid on articles exported from any state. The power to raise money was otherwise “plenary, and indefinite, and the objects to which it may be appropriated are no less comprehensive.” Thankfully the majority of the founding fathers didn’t share these views otherwise things might be a lot worse off than we are now. James Madison, and Thomas Jefferson both held the view that the power to tax and spend did not give congress the power to do whatever they thought best for the country, but that it was to further the end specifically enumerated elsewhere in the constitution. The third view was that “general” meant that it had to be of national benefit not local or state. This way of thinking is elaborated more in the X Amendment, basically stating that if that state thinks it’s good for that state, have at it, but at that states expense not the entire country’s. So, with those last two opinions it would look like a lot of what’s be going on of late is unconstitutional. Like bailouts, Haiti, NPR, National Endowment For The Arts, all of that has no business being paid for with tax dollars according to the constitution.
The First Congress refused to loan money to a glass maker after several members said it was unconstitutional. The Fourth Congress didn’t believe that they possessed the power to provide relief to Savanna Georgia after a fire destroyed the whole city. Guess what? Savanna looks like it’s still around, I think they made out quite well on their own. Now, what does that mean for New Orleans and the rest of the Katrina ravaged places? Precisely. Oh, yeah, George Bush in an alliance with global warming caused the hurricane. The debates don’t give their exact reasoning for not paying that really goes along with any of the above mentioned opinions, but rather that they reject such a broad interpretation of what they can spend. Pretty much they went against Hamilton’s interpretation. A few notable cases that go along with this limiting of spending include Andrew Jackson vetoing a $2oo million bill to purchase stock in the Maysville and Lexington Turnpike company, putting an end to this “dangerous doctrine” and the idea of directly paying for roads and canals by government. Congress got the message, (if they only would now) and didn’t even attempt to send another bill like it to his desk for four years. Then it was a bill to help make Wabash River more navigable, which he promptly vetoed, calling it a “fallacy”. Polk vetoed a bill for $6000 for the Wisconsin Territory, this in and of itself was permissible due to the stronger powers held over a territory, but the real reason for the veto was $500,000 for projects in existing states. Polk’s belief that to interpret the spending clause to allow for such appropriations would permit “combinations of local and individual interest [that would be] strong enough to control legislation, absorb the revenues of the country, and plunge the government into hopeless indebtedness.” Could he see the future? Read that again, that might make a nice new tattoo. That my friends, is pork barrel spending, and when you look at the big picture, he’s 100% correct, and that is how we are where we are. OK one more quick quote from Sandra Day O’Connor from her dissent of the South Dakota v. Dole case. “If the spending power is to be limited only by Congress’ notion of the general welfare, the reality…. is that the Spending Clause gives ‘power to the Congress… to become parliament of the whole people, subject to no restrictions save such as are self-imposed.’ This…. was not the Framers’ plan and is not the meaning of the Spending Clause.”
So where does NPR, the poetry festival, and pork projects fit in? There is no place in our government for them. We have debt because of them. It wasn’t until after the Civil War that this broad interpretation of the Spending Clause has been used, and since FDR started taking an extreme approach to spending, others have used this as an excuse to increase it even more. If it in some way benefits us all that would be one thing, but only taking care of people to buy votes and get reelected is pure and simple abuse of the power that we have entrusted them with. By waiting for a government handout, whether it be in the form of subsidies, welfare, or a bailout you are only helping them bankrupt us morally and economically. We shouldn’t have this notion that the government is always there to help us out, because for starters, that is not why the government is there, but history has shown us that the government is never there when you expect it. Instead you should plan ahead for yourself, social security is bankrupt, and even if somehow you do get paid it’s not enough for you to get by on. If you had that money invested in an IRA it would actually be worth your while and not spent already. With all of these programs are we any better off? Johnson’s War on Poverty hasn’t eradicated poverty in America; it just created more government bureaucracies and even more dependency on government. Which might not trouble you, but it does trouble those that actually have to pay for it, while you get handouts for nothing there are people that are struggling to get by, or they themselves have to get a handout because of having to pay for you.
The Grace Commission estimated that unless something was done about spending by 2000 the nation would have accumulated $15 trillion in debt, and as a result proposed how to cut, and where to cut. But this fell on deaf ears. Their plan would’ve eliminated the national debt in a few short years. I think this is something that maybe we ought to revisit now, that would mean wiping out programs entirely, but limiting the fraud and waste of a lot of programs. My personal opinion is that we can cut around ¾ of the government and that would fix almost every problem with the government. There is no need for Amtrak, they along with the postal service lose money every year. You want my suggestion? Either privatize them, or make it that they can cover their costs, such as paying their employees and upkeep. Regardless of if they are privatized or not they need to be run like a business. Tax money shouldn’t go to support it. How many people have ridden AMTRAK? Not too many. It isn’t providing something necessary, instead it wastes tax dollars to keept it afloat and by not trying to cover its own expenses; it essentially under cuts the private legitimate businesses providing the same service, but if you aren’t trying to make a profit, (at least break even) you have a monopoly on that service, and not only cause higher taxes, you eliminate fair competition from numerous other private companies that do the same thing, so you also have no competition and job creation to compete with you. That is socialism, the beginnings of communism. Take a look at the power that they are abusing, they refuse to let us drill for oil due to environmental concerns, yet they offer the tools and training to Brazil for them to drill, while telling them that we will buy it from them. It would seem that we would take better care of the environment due to all of the environmental wackos in the country and the standards that we have in place. They want to lessen our dependency on foreign oil, yet they promise Brazil that we will buy from them and give them the resources for it. This is doesn’t make any sense. They complain about the price of oil, and the economy; their solution: high speed train.
The reason why we don’t already have high speed trains is because people don’t want it. If we did the private industry would already have built it, so while the market sees it as a waste of money, they want to add to the debt by building one. The states are already starting to refuse it because of the high cost it would create for the states. The true solution is quite obvious. We drill now. This creates jobs. That will lower the cost of oil because we aren’t paying anyone else for it. The tax base will increase because of more jobs and the increase of money flow into this country. Yeah sure what if it does take ten years before we start seeing everything, the positive effects would be immediately obvious. The job creating and the stability that would come from it would start turning this country back around until to where it should be going.
We should be focusing on letting the private industry work itself out and not dabble. Fannie and Freddie is proof of this, whenever the government starts messing with the private sector it creates more problems than it started out to fix. We should be focusing on that, and not whether or not to cut funding for NPR and poetry festivals. The cuts that are straight forward obvious won’t hurt a thing except maybe a few liberal feelings. I’d love a world where we greased the treads of our tanks with leftist tears. If we apply this simple litmus test to most of the government’s spending: why isn’t the private sector doing that? That might explain why the government shouldn’t be doing it either because it is just a money pit. The excuse that we must do this to create jobs does not help the situation at all, instead it makes it much worse. Creating and or increasing the number jobs for government bureaucracies whither they are new ones or already existing shouldn’t even be considered as creating jobs. Why? Because it does the exact opposite of its intended purpose, sure those people are now employed, but that means that the government needs to increase revenue to pay those people. What does the government do whenever it wants to increase revenue? Raise taxes! That’s how. This once again stifles the economy, causing more lost jobs in the private sector, and even less revenue in the gov’t coffers. Is it me, or does that seem like an awful lot of harm just to claim that you created jobs for your reelection bid?
This is just a plain and simple economic reform that I know would do wonders for our current woes. This isn’t rocket science, it is a plain and simple answer to it all. Why are we bickering over a few billion, when the real number to be concerned is trillions? Remember that come election time. If a business did 1/5467949372393903932837 of that financial mismanagement, there would be no company come years end. The government doesn’t need to turn a profit, but they shouldn’t be wasting the fruits of OUR labor. This year’s tax freedom day is 12 April, tomorrow. That means that we have all worked over 3 months before we have started making money that goes into our pocket. That’s ¼ of the year. Yes we should be all very very P.o.ed over that we have wasted a quarter of our lives funding useless, fraudulent programs and actions that have no business existing. Remember that.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates addressed this question and the growing divide between the civilian and military communities. Never was it more obvious than at Tuesday evening's final editing session for the campus newspaper.
I was working on my column, a compilation of news stories. Lately, I've been including the ranks, names and ages of our fallen military. That came under fire Tuesday evening, when, for want of space, I was asked why I print that, because "it seems like filler." I was then told that "We aren't the Military Times," and then spent the next fifteen minutes arguing that the ages bring our military to a more personal level -- I can look at those names and realize that the specialist killed by an IED last week was my age, that the staff sergeant who gave his life yesterday could have been my best friend. For those who have never had any sort of contact with the military community, this is one way in which we can all relate.
Also, since my college campus has little to do with the military, it seems hardly enough to even devote a few inches of column space to the deceased. Can we not give them that much? They have fought and died for my right and privilege to contribute to the mass media -- can we not show them perhaps the only form of respect we are able?
Thirdly, posting a list of the war dead appeases two groups: anti-war and pro-war. Those against the war are able to look at the list and realize that people are dying, even though combat operations have ended. Those for the war can be proud of the fact that a small, private liberal arts college is devoting a portion of its newspaper to researching and printing the names of our fallen military personnel.

Money is a rather touchy subject overall, rather it be how to save, invest, or spend it. Just look at taxes and health care reform. So, when you pay for something and you dish out a substantial amount of money for it, you hope that you get your money's worth out of it. For example, you purchase a brand new Cadillac off of eBay, when you go and pick up your $50k car you discover that instead of a brand new caddy you instead got a '72 Pinto that looks like it was sat on blocks in front a ramshackle trailer for 50 years while the squirrels and cats had their way with it. I think it is obvious that you would be quite upset by the incident and say lots of things like oh gee, gosh, golly darn, while contemplating the justifiable slaughter of the individual(s) behind the scam. But what you don't know is that a quite similar scam is being inflicted upon us right this very second as we speak.
Gasoline prices have skyrocketed over the past ten years, so much that it has altered our way of life and thinking. Instead of driving a nice big comfortable SUV with a 10.5 liter engine, we now shop for Fred Flintstone powered clown cars. So when you buy gas now you think of how to get the best fuel economy and dreading the next fill up. But what you may or may not know is that now when you are buying gas, you aren't getting just gas. The sign on the pump is rather small, it reads 10% ethanol. ETHANOL! Not gasoline. So, you might be asking what is the big deal? For a little over a year now I've been noticing a little silver and yellow sticker on tailgates, on closer inspection I saw it reads E85 ethanol equipped. So the newer vehicles are designed for use with ethanol, but what about me. The BEAST! was made in 1993 and does what its told, all while sounding quite seductive like a lady talking about rate of twist in Lazzeroni barrels with a southern accent. Sexy, much unlike the current fad of sounding like Miny Me getting a purple nurple. Anyhow, the BEAST! is not meant to run off of ethanol, so you might wonder why exactly I'm bringing this up. Well when lets look to the professionals for advice on the subject. Bud Tillman of St. Lucie Outboard Marine says: "Corn and cane make great whiskey, not fuel" is company handled over 200 cases where boats were damaged from the use of ethanol as an additive in 2008. So lets look at the "scientific" reasons for this problem.
Ethanol doesn't really mix with gasoline, they have a non- polar bond. Next what settles in is condensation that bonds with the ethanol, (everyone knows water in the gas tank is a no go) which pulls the ethanol and the octane levels from the gasoline and the know pretty much useless fuel to the top. Ethanol is a very potent varnish dissolving rust and gunk from your fuel tank sending it straight to your filters and possibly your fuel injectors causing a nice clog. Wow! I'm going to have to keep shelling out money for a rather underhanded policy just to keep my truck running! Yea!!! Mom, Dad, don't expect much for Christmas this year.
So those of you that have the extra money lying around to buy one of these new fancy cars you could probably care less about everyone else that doesn't have one. Well Mr. you are effected too, because ethanol is 28% less effective than straight up gas. So, you are paying for Pepsi, and getting water. Your fuel economy is considerably less than with straight gas, I'm not talking about what a truck cap can fix, this is more. Throwing stuff on the roof rack is known to lower mileage, but to compare it to putting something on the roof would be to through Oprah up there. So, why are they doing this to us? The whole lowering our carbon footprint garbage doesn't fly, because plants need carbon dioxide to survive, and there are more trees here then when Columbus landed. Here is a better reason for why, they are too stupid to drill for American oil. This cuts down on the actual amount of oil that we use, but doesn't properly address the problem. We are getting oil from people that wipe there butts with a bare hand one second and our plotting our demise next. The whole green movement needs to realize that we are the best place to drill because we are the safest. In the mean time I will continue looking for pumps that aren't trying to kill the BEAST!

Jay Chou is an Americanized Chinese singer. He starred in the Americanized film "Curse of the Golden Flower," which just so happens to feature one of my favorite actresses, Gong Li (I think she's absolutely gorgeous). Gong Li also starred in "Memoirs of a Geisha," but she doesn't speak English, so she memorized her lines by rote (impressive, considering the emotion in her lines). But, I digress. This is one of my favorite Jay Chou music videos.

Sad, But True

Gen. George S. Patton once said "No good decision was ever made from the seat of a swivel chair." Being that I work for the federal government, I have a phrase that I repeat quite frequently, this is not because of the alignment of the planets or the fact that when I sweat profusely my under britches ride up my butt crack; though I do frequently utter something about that, just a different one. For whatever reason the people that get paid the most for their alleged intelligence, do just the opposite, for example instead of cutting the size of our military, why don't we increase the number of troops, so that we have fresh people, and more people with a regular source of income. But that would make sense which is self defeating in the federal government. That is my quote.
So to tie this in to a much larger scale the fact that today Arizona's controversial law was to start being enforced today, but it wasn't. Because the federal government said that they couldn't enforce the most controversial parts. That being if someone was pulled over or caught jay walking, even questioned about an indecent exposure incident because nobody believed that I had the words "Your Name" tattooed on my posterior; they could ask to see proof of citizenship. This heinous atrocity must never happen! Why not? They already ask for I.D. and vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. How is proving that you are supposed to be hear that difficult? But this would make sense.
The supposed logic behind all of this was that they were trying to enforce federal law. Hmmm, local cops can arrest me for federal weapons charges, and tax evasion if they catch me at a still. Wow, I was always under the impression that any law enforcement agency could arrest me for any law breaking as long as it was, and they are in their jurisdiction. But that's just me, and what do I know?
Now I'm always told that if I see a problem I should also have a suggestion. If I was Jan Brewer I would have the law enforced anyway. What are they going to do declare marshal law. Oh please! Stop! My sides hurt at the thought of Obama having the intestinal fortitude. What are they going to do if they said since you aren't doing your job we will continue to cover for your sorry butt? They wouldn't do anything. The fact that they have to do this in the first place is very sad. But once again the tenth amendment permits Arizona to do so, this is not just the nations problem, but I think a little more Arizona's problem than say, Massachusetts. Just a thought. What is to stop a state from making a federal law stricter in that state? If this makes sense to you, either one of your personalities is a lot like the voices in my head, or B., you make less money than those that are supposed to be smart enough to see common sense for what it is. With that said, I think its time for me to call it quits and take my blood pressure medication, and read more terrorist transcripts on the newest and coolest in the firearms world while driving my roommate nuts blasting Ted Nugent in between Pavoratti and Dvork.

Earlier this week, The Sergeant needed to stop by the classroom before his lunch break ended, and when we entered the room, two other soldiers were already inside. Later, The Sergeant informed me that one of them, Sergeant Ostrich (not his real name . . . obviously) had invited us to dinner at a nearby Mexican restaurant. The Sergeant told Sergeant Ostrich that he wasn't sure if I would eat Mexican, to which Sergeant Ostrich replied that he didn't think I looked like someone who would eat Mexican food (in Sergeant Ostrich's defense, he did preface that statement by saying that he meant no offense). Well. I immediately told The Sergeant that we would be happy to accept his invitation, and so we will be having dinner Sunday evening.

I've never had Mexican food.

About six years ago, my Pastor's wife invited the young teen girls from our church on a girls' night out. We spent the night in a nearby hotel, fellowshipping and bonding. One of the events of the night was to create a list of ten qualities we wanted in our future husbands. We dubbed the lists "Ten Things I Like About You," and gave them to our parents to keep until later and review. Since then, I've reviewed and revised mine, but only one has changed. I've also added two "optional" (read: two requirements that aren't required only because it would throw of the title of the list) traits. This is my list, as mentioned in my Bucket List.

Christian
- He must have a personal relationship with Christ. We should be on similar levels spiritually and able to challenge each other to grow. Bonus points if he's Pentecostal.

Supportive
- He must be supportive of my ambitions. Bonus points if he's willing to travel the world.

Intelligent
- His intelligence should be comparable to mine. Bonus points if he's got street smarts, since my common sense only occasionally jumps out of the negatives and into the positive percentile.

Understanding
- He must understand and accept who I am, my needs and wants. I do not believe in changing for others, and I would never ask him to change for me. Love is unconditional.

Conservative
- He must share my beliefs and values. I am unwavering in my support of the first amendment, second amendment and support of the military. I also believe that authority can and should be challenged from time to time.

Respectful
- He must respect me, himself and others, regardless of whether they are above, beneath or on his level.

Ambitious
- He must be able to support me (though I will be more than capable of supporting myself); he must have a drive to accomplish and succeed.

Devoted
- He must be loyal to me, as I will be loyal only to him.

Trusting
- He must trust me, and I him.

Strong
- He must be physically strong so that I feel protected. Physical strength is not based solely upon hand-to-hand combat skills. Proper sight alignment and trigger control are also viable criteria, though preferably at a ranger greater than mine.

In My Opinion - Professional Sports

The other day, I was doing work in the cafeteria. It was around lunch time, and a middle-aged woman sat down in front of the television nearest to me. She changed the channel to a soap opera, which I endured for an hour, before her lunch was over and she went back to work. A few moments later, a man sat down nearby, and I waited until the woman left before I stood up to change the channel. Unable to find Fox News after about three minutes of searching, I settled for ~~CNN~~ another news channel. No sooner had I sat down than another man walked over, changed the channel to ESPN, and sat down with the first man. Enraptured, they stared at the cathode ray tubes while I packed up my stuff and passed three other televisions, two of which were broadcasting ESPN, on my way out of the cafeteria.

Professional sports are both a horrid waste of time and an ingenious distraction. Ignorant people who can't be bothered with important issues, such as politics, become caught up in a world of which they will never be a part. They wear the jerseys of their favorite athletes (which I never understood -- why are you wearing that jersey if it's not your name and you're not related?), they get angry when "their" teams lose. But, when people are so involved in something as inconsequential as sports, people of that mindset are obviously not as wholeheartedly involved in other affairs of the world (which is a good thing). Professional sports irk me. And yet, when I see the people who are so devoted to them, typically it makes me happy inside that these usually aren't the people forming the world's policies.

Mochi

Black Sesame Sweet Soup

Apparently, I'm on an Asian kick this year, so I'm just going to roll with it.

During my freshman year of college, I met a Chinese ESL student whom I befriended. During my first visit to her dorm, she offered me a bowl (actually, it was a Glad plastic storage container) of some sort of sweet, grey soup (or something to that effect). It had the consistency of sludgy water, but I thought it tasted good. I forgot to ask her what it was called, and it wasn't until recently that I found something similar in an Asian grocery store. After mixing up a cup, I realized that it was the exact same thing. And that if you don't add cold water before adding hot water, it congeals and looks likes sludgy water. I like to make the soup thicker, anyway, so it has a consistency more along the lines of thin mud. Yum.

The soup is Vietnamese, but it's also popular in China for supposedly keeping grey hair at bay (something to do with the fact that it's good for the blood and liver). It's also good for the kidneys, so the packaging claims. I have the instant version, but it can also be made by soaking rice in water for an hour, then grinding it in a blender with toasted black sesame seeds and later boiling it with some water and sugar.

While I was waiting for The Sergeant, a Korean hairdresser walked out into the waiting room (presumably to see how many people were waiting to be serviced). She glanced at me, did a double take, nonchalantly meandered to the seat in front of me, picked up the newspaper, and asked, "Are you Korean?" The rest of the conversation went as follows:

Eun: Yes, I am Korean.

Kim: Ah, ahnyounghasaeyo.

Eun: Ahnyounghasaeyo. I don't speak Korean, I was adopted.

Kim: Ah, you were adopted?

Eun: Yes.

Kim: You very pretty.

Eun: Thank you.

Kim: I saw you, you so pretty, I did not know if you were Korean or not.

Eun: Are Koreans ugly or something? Yes, I'm Korean, and thank you.

Kim: You go to church?

Eun: Yes.

Kim: That's good. Where you go?

Eun: I attend church in Pennsylvania; I'm from Pennsylvania.

Kim: Ah, Pennsylvania? You should come to my church.

Eun: I bet it's a Korean church. Where do you go to church?

Kim: It's not far. How long you here?

Eun: Only until next week. I'm with him *gestures to nondescript area on the other side of the wall.*
Kim: When he leave?

Eun: Next week.

Kim: Next week?

Eun: Yes.

[The Sergeant finally enters the waiting room.]

Kim: You should come to church. They have translators. Hold on. *disappears into barber shop*

Eun: First, "Are you Korean?" Then, "You go to church?" They're all the same, and they think I'm one of them! We need a huge picture of Jesus.

A Funny Story (Not Really)

A few evenings ago, I whacked my head off of the corner of the bedside table. Impossible, you say? Remember, this is the same woman who, in the darkness, in her own home, walked straight into the wall instead of the doorway. I ended up with an absolutely ginormous and incredibly painful lump right at my hairline on the left side of my forehead. It even bled a little. It looked pretty epic then, but now it's just a small bump with a scab. The end.

Also, future blog entries may be posted via mobile phone due to the cleaning staff and the fact that I'm chained to the desk because I have to use an ethernet cable. And I thought my college was the last place to acquire wireless Internet access.

Another unusual (to me) aspect of military life is the high population of Asians, namely, Koreans. Apparently, soldiers stationed overseas marry Korean women, return to the States, and find themselves divorced after their Korean wives join the Korean clique and never bother to learn American customs. I first found out about this while at a local base in Pennsylvania. I was shopping in AAFES, sporting an Army jacket and carrying my purchases in a bag that clearly stated "AAFES" across the front. A soldier turned, saw me, and asked if I worked there. Wondering if this was really an example of the world's finest, I told him I didn't. I was later informed that a lot of Asians work at AAFES. It's now a running joke that I want to be a manager of AAFES some day. But, I digress. Less than a mile from base is a Korean dry cleaner, barber, store and restaurant. On base, I saw at least one Korean woman working in the hairdressing salon. One might think that I could actually pass for being a legit Korean in this environment. Not really.

For years, Korea has struggled with homogeneity. Read this article by the NYT if you don't believe me. Marrying outside the race is unpatriotic (but, having grown up in America, I obviously don't have that issue). Also, you don't have to have a Korean mother to have a Korean mother (which I've learned since patronizing the local Korean restaurant). Combine those two facts with the fact that I tend to glare when I'm infuriated. Actually, it's not just a glare -- my dad has dubbed it the Korean Death Ray. And I recently learned that I am not the only one capable of delivering such a look. Every Korean is born with such a capability. So. Combine the racism, the ajumas (older Korean women/mothers) and the Korean Death Ray, and then throw a Korean-American walking with a +6' Caucasian into the mix. It can get a bit dodgy.

For example, yesterday I was in AAFES with The Sergeant. We were preparing to leave when I spotted an ajuma (typically identifiable by their tight perms, use of pastels and socks with sandals). As she neared, I glanced up at her and noticed that her eyes were slowly roving from The Sergeant to me, and back again with the most miserable frown and KDR I've seen in a long time. Since The Sergeant has taken the liberty of telling me that the Asians stare at us quite frequently, I decided that I had had enough. Mustering my own KDR, the ajuma and I had a stare down as we approached. I'd like to add that I totally won -- she looked away at the last moment. That's right. Fasian = 1. Ajuma = 0.

Blogathon 2010 - Troop Xing & the Call to Prayer

It seems fitting that Blogathon 2010, in honor of the Wounded Warrior Project, would begin at a military installation. In the span of a week, it has become nothing out of the ordinary for me to see men and women in uniform. Granted, that should be an obvious one, given my location, but having grown up in a rural area, the only military personnel I ever see are recruiters and reservists. Now, suddenly, I'm becoming accustomed to such things as "Troop Xing" signs and music at 6:15 in the morning, that sounds across the base. It's sort of like the call to prayer. But not really.

I will again be participating in the Blogathon; however, the official organizers cancelled the event for some unknown reason. So, I am going to continue on my own -- I've set the event for 9am EST 30 JUL - 9am EST 31 JUL. Throughout the blogathon, I will post a blog every 30 min. for the entire 24 hrs. Necessary Redundancy

Have you at any point in time done something that you weren't required to do, because its an other's job, but if you didn't do this vital task would never be completed? This happens to me on a regular basis, maybe its just my good nature or the fact that until somebody gets a booboo, I've got nothing better to do. Regardless of who is supposed to do it, there are things that must get done, you know clean the guns, change the diaper, and milk the pigs. By now you probably know where I'm going with this, Arizona.
S.B. 1070 in short means that state law enforcement personnel, that while doing their job can ask for identification to prove that you are here legally. This is wrong because? If the federal government won't do there job who will? The federal governments reasoning has me rather confused in their logic so I'll let them speak for themselves: "Enforcement of S.B. 1070 will disrupt the constitutional order by undermining the federal government's control over the regulation of immigration and immigration policy. ... Moreover, S.B. 1070 will result in the harassment of lawfully present aliens and even U.S. citizens. Implementation of the law will damage the United States' ability to speak with a single and authoritative voice to foreign governments on immigration matters and is already having negative effects on long-standing and vital international relationships."
For starters the federal governments "control" over immigration is a lot like using a broom to control the ocean. So undermining it is a load of hogwash, Arizona is merely enforcing laws that they won't. As for harassing legal people, how is asking for I.D. harassment? Who are we telling how to protect their borders? Everyone else uses guns, and they won't hesitate to shoot you for trying to get in illegally. What vital international relationship are we jeopardizing by implementing this law, which enforces laws that were written over 200 years ago? The answer is Mexico. Yes Mexico, essentially the whole reason for the law in the first place.
Now, what makes them vital to us? Cheap labor? Mexico hasn't done anything for us to make them worthwhile and our relationship with them doesn't benefit us beyond being a source of cheap tequila and drugs. Mexico is dead set against this law. Why? I can only guess. The Mexican government passes out pamphlets on how to sneak across. How is this beneficial to them that they encourage it? This is an easy fix. We go down and put them in their place and tell them to stay home. Then we actually secure our border.
"States like Arizona should not have to act on their own, but Washington's decades of neglect for border security leave them no choice," Republican Study Committee Chairman Tom Price (R-Ga.) stated in a press release Tuesday.
Notice of course who said that, and what party he belongs to. The reasoning that the Republicans support this legislation and the liberals don't is because of the votes. Minorities traditionally vote for the left. So they are just going to stand by, and let a cancer eat us until we are dead just so they can keep their job. Thanks. Seriously? Considering the fact that I consider myself a member of the Tea Party, I would hardly consider it racist. And about pushing "'the country back to the pre-civil rights era?'" Try being yellow and figuring out whether you should go into the white restroom or the colored one!
In all seriousness, no sound incidents in the article portrayed the Tea Party as being racist. The only incident was "alleged" with no evidence found. In my experiences with tea partiers, they have all been courteous and no one has ever discriminated against me due to my skin color or other apparent ethnic features.

Ah yes, another post on guns. Well, it's about time for another one and I see that nothing has really changed since the last one. At least, for the better. Just the other day, the supreme court gave their ruling on the 2nd amendment. It just squeaked by. The allegedly unbiased supreme court, whose only purpose in life is to determine whether or not a law is permitted by the constitution, voted on the constitution as being constitutional? Let me rephrase that, the supreme determined that the constitution was legal. I must really be out of it, I never thought that the constitution was up for debate. I was always under the impression that the constitution was untouchable, beyond amending it. You want to hear the best part? The vote was 5-4 in favor of it being legal.
Providing that you own guns, like guns, or couldn't care less, you see that it passed 5-4, that's good it passed. That in and of it self is the problem. Nine people, nine, that all they have to do is read a bill and then read the constitution and give it a go or no go, based on if the constitution permits it. Honestly it sounds like quite an easy job. So if it is clear and concise, and everyone knows it, then how can it only squeeze through by one vote? I'm quite certain that the vast majority of English speaking Americans are aware of the second amendment.
In what is known as the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments, apply to all, and are based on the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. So in 1791, 4 years after the constitution was written, the Bill of rights was ratified, to prevent the infringement of rights that they knew as common sense. The second one of course was to keep and bear arms. The SECOND! not the third, not the tenth. It is second because they believed that only religion and free speech were more important. If they thought that it wasn't that big of a deal, don't you think it would've been an after thought? maybe just got in the bill of rights as the tenth amendment? Instead, the second thought was the great equalizer. There is an old, old saying: God created man, Sam Colt made them equal. The second amendment guarantees us life, and liberty. If you are like me the pursuit of happiness is a loaded gun, but that's neither here nor there. It is through the second amendment that the rest are assured to us.
Now what if this was about a different amendment, lest say, the repeal of the 21st amendment. What then? There would be mobs out for blood, the American people would be outraged. But, well it's only the 2nd amendment, we don't need that. These are the ignorant people that think that Obama's statement about the backwoods people clinging to their guns and religion is because they are Amish backwards and need to step into the 21st century.
Considering how he is idolized today, they probably quit teaching this in schools long ago, but Franklin Roosevelt tried to stack the supreme court in his favor because they ruled voted down numerous of his "New Deal" plans. (Which if you know anything about them it's a wonder that they even made it that far) The Judiciary Reorganization Bill of 1937 was proposed by Roosevelt so as to allow him basically to do whatever the heck he wanted. This would've allowed him to appoint 6 more justices. This would mean that the court would be in his favor and he could get away with murder. Now why exactly am I bringing this up? Because the supreme court is more corrupt than Chicago on a Friday night. They are supposed to be unbiased and tell it like it is instead of making up a far fledged interpretation of something that is as plain as day, to fit an agenda. That is how something, so simple, so clear, could ever come to pass by one vote under the pretense that it is constitutional because of freed slaves. Yes that was one justices reasoning's as to why it is legal. I don't think that that was the intention of our founders when they wrote that, considering at the time we still had the institution of slavery.
Really this is sad. Where have we gone wrong? In the mean time, I will continue to hold what is dear to me, just as it was to our founders, my religion, and my guns.

What Is, and What Should Never Be

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Oh, wait a minute. Huh? Really?.......... Well my lovely secretary just handed me a note and it seems that I am either almost 2 months late, or 10 months early, depending on how you look at it. So, am I really supposed to care? Well it seems that an unspecified number of people would seem to think so. My question to them of course would be why? Why is it that I should care about another seemingly usual day? How many more holidays do we need around here? We already have talk like a pirate day. What makes this fifth of May so special?
In a nutshell, in 1862 the Mexican army beat the frenchies in a battle. That's what it is. No, seriously that's what it is. I asked a Spanish teacher and anthropologist about it and he told me that it is only really celebrated in the U.S., as opposed to the country of origin. So, are you telling me that we should cheer and speak German to celebrate when Hitler overtook Poland? In essence it is the same thing. Yet, nobody does that here. The alleged truthful reason is that it is to celebrate their heritage, participants claim. Well if you are so happy to be Mexican, why did you come here? That is what I wanna know. If things are that bad that you leave such a miserable place, then why do you celebrate that place? For example, I don't celebrate the day I left Chicago, I want to forget that place and move on with my life, unencumbered by the bad memories from that place. Pardon me while I get depressed... . . . . . . . O.K. I'm back, I got more coffee and I should be good for a bit now. Why of all places to come to, why did you come to the U.S., you could've gone to Guatemala and been rich and you could still share a similar backround. Yet, you chose to come here, now instead of trying to embrace the heritage of your new country, and all that makes it wonderful, you want to dwell on the past, and force your messed up ideals on us?
We constantly see smaller cases of the same disease, the flag of a foreign country hanging from a rear view mirror, or the very common "I can hold my liquor, I'm Irish." Well, ah, are you a dual citizen? Where's your green card? Oh you don't have one, how long have you lived here? Your entire life, then would you be so kind to explain how it is that you are Irish?
I somehow managed to get home for the Fourth of July festivities, my family and myself went to the largest fireworks display in the area, heralded as being one of the top 5 displays in the country. The show synced up with music, and we were close enough to the fancy seating area that we didn't really need the radio,but we had it on anyway, so did almost everybody else. So when they asked everyone to stand for the playing of our National Anthem, there was no possible way that you could not have heard that; unless of course you had both tympanic membranes rupture from a freak accident like digging in your ears with a stiletto. So there I am standing, with my hand over my heart, when right in front of me, is a worthless long haired smelly, hippy type looking guy, that was sitting on his rump, with two girls. I was absolutely livid. I have seen men that have lost a leg, and are on oxygen, put forth the effort to stand up for the playing of our National Anthem. So why exactly can't these three young healthy appearing individuals stand up and show a little respect for the lives that we have lost for that song and our flag? But of course we can blame it on their parents, their childhood, or what have you, but the fact still remains that they sat there talking and groping and so on while the rest of us showed reverence towards this great country. I was on the verge of walking over there and giving him a little, much needed, subtle encouragement to stand up, and then leave him to enjoy the rest of the show in a pool of his own blood as a reminder of what others have sacrificed. But, unfortunately there were children in the truck next to me, and I was sort of restrained after expressing the way things ought to be.
A few days later on the radio, they asked random people why we celebrate the Fourth of July. To me this is a common sense no thinking required answer, as it is, it seems that I am quite wrong on that one. One woman when asked started off as saying that it was to celebrate our independence, then when asked independence from what, she had no clue. So she guessed independence from America. I assume then that we somehow managed to escape from the very cage that we threw ourselves into? What more could you expect then when confronted with the absurdity that she just laughed it off, as you would the notion that Hillary Clinton ISN'T a hermaphrodite. I certainly didn't laugh it off.
What more could expect from a nation whose own fearless leader has on numerous occasions let the flag be carried past him and just stand there with his hands over his crotch? Seriously. Then again this is the same man (if you'd permit me) that campaigned in all the 57 states. The same person that spent a substantial amount of OUR money to travel the world and apologize for you and me. As far as I know, I have done nothing wrong; at least, nothing that I need to apologize for in other countries. But then again, we are successful, and proof that you can have your cake and eat it too, but is that reason to bow to foreign leaders and make a fool of yourself? Does Bill Gates get on TV and say that he's sorry that he is making more money than me? No he doesn't and neither is that expected from him. Does Sarah Brady say that she is sorry for making it such a hassle for me to buy a gun? No. There is no reason to tell the world that we are sorry for being successful, if they followed our lead, then they could achieve the same. If we were so bad that we needed to apologize for ourselves, then how come we have millions sneaking in here every year, along with all of the legal immigrants from all over the world? The reason that you have people coming here is because we are the best. If you don't like that, then I highly encourage you to leave to the country that you believe is better, because that would make us all happy. Why aren't people proud of America, and being American? I don't get it. What is wrong with loving America? This truly is pathetic.

Contract With America II

There has been a lot of clamoring lately about why on earth there hasn't been another Contract With America. Well being the good sort of fellow that I am, I decided to take the initiative and write my own. After it all passes, there would be a great deal of weeping, and wailing, people tearing out their own hair, people threatening to jump off buildings, and gnashing of teeth if it doesn't get repealed, all in Berkley California. So here is my message to them before it happens: Just do it already.

Operation Wetback II Maybe California wouldn't be in so much debt if they didn't give everything that they payed for to people that never did, and never will contribute into the system. So lets get rid of the parasites in our country. They broke the law, so we are just going to let them get away with it? Get them out of here! They steal jobs from the people that actually pay into the system. The hollow excuse is that they do jobs that we won't do, well when they work for an employer that doesn't pay minimum wage, that might explain why we aren't doing those jobs.

In order for operation Wetback II to be successful we need to secure our border. It is ridiculous for us to think that we are all safe asleep in our beds when we have over 2000 illegals coming across the border everyday. If they can do it, don't you think a terrorist could? or maybe use it as a way to get WMD's across? Just a thought. So I propose that we secure our border by placing two layers of fence with landmines in between them. Of course we must utilize razor ribbon and warning signs to make it obvious that we mean business. To supplement the border patrol National Guard troops will be used to help. Under this new plan, we will shoot on site any armed invaders, and for good measure, tattoo first time offenders with a serial number, and catapult them back over so that the tax payers don't have to pay for a plane ticket. Second time offenders will be sent to Cuba as repayment for the Murial fiasco. This is not "racism" this is law enforcement, if one of your loved ones was murdered and nothing done about it, you would be moaning for justice, and law enforcement, that's all we want; so shut up already. Anyone found to be employing, harboring, and/ or knowingly don't turn in these criminals will be prosecuted. The title: The Border Security Act. I think the title is pretty creative.

This is the only part of this post where this fits. Make English our national language. The current majority of us speak it. If you come here and want to function in society, you must learn to read, write, and speak English. If you want to be a citizen, you must prove proficiency with the English language. By not knowing it you are only limiting yourself, and making others despise you for being lazy and making things difficult for the rest. You left wherever you came from, for the American dream, you can learn blooming English.

The current tax code is thousands upon thousands of pages and growing. We constantly have people claiming that somebody isn't paying their fair share. Because of the complex monster, corrupt politicians use the tax code as a weapon to dispose of their enemies, look at Rush Limbaugh while he lived in New York, he was constantly audited year after year; yet they couldn't find anything but used it just to hassle him. We are burdened and to cover our own behinds have to pay money out of our pockets just to file taxes and make sure it is right and even, then with so many loop holes and random garbage they still might get you. This is ridiculous, so we repeal the 16th amendment, and ratify H.R. 25 S.296. I don't even need to think up a title because it already has one: The Fair Tax Act. With 49% of Americans not paying taxes and that means people like me, (an actual tax payer) are getting SCREWED!!!!!! Did your parents ever tell you to be careful who your friends were? or wouldn't let you hang around with the "bad apples." Unless you grew up in Mayberry or your nickname was Beaver and you had an older brother named Wally and this never happened to you, either you had bad parents or were in fact yourself a "bad apple." The logic behind this is that their bad habits wear off on you and/or just plain guilt by association. To make my point I'll redirect my fire from a few other directions whilst they others sink in. As a parent, would you take parenting advice from a toddler, a child molester, or a negligent parent? If you were baking a cake, and it wasn't coming out right, would you continue to repeat the whole process in hopes that it would come out right? What happens if you just use hollow threats when it comes to discipline your child? They laugh at you and keep doing whatever it is that they aren't suppose to do. So why do we as a nation continue to participate in similar follies? The above mentioned scenarios happen everyday in a little joint project called the United Nations. In it are despots, tyrants, countries that sponsor terrorism, human rights violators, communists, and socialists. And of course there we are, betwixt all of the earth's scum. They can't run their countries, yet they try to tell us how to run ours? They try to promote peace through sanctions that are a joke and actually send us to wars to support their cause. You don't see France, China, Iran, Cuba and the like sending troops. American tax payers hard earned money goes into something that doesn't benefit them. Did the U.N. help us with Katrina? When has the U.N. done anything for us? If their sanctions actually worked then why do we still have wars? Our founding fathers warned us not to get involved with foreign conglomerates, but of course, who listened? Woodrow Wilson tried to get us involved with the League of Nations, and we didn't because we saw reason. That and it was his idea, and I don't think he had any good ones. Then we got into the U.N. after the second World War. We are a sovereign nation, we are not France, or Cuba, we are America, so why are we having Libya make laws for us? I have a sign on my wall that I look at everyday before I go to work it says "Si Vis Pacem Parabellum" If you wish for peace, prepare for war. With that thought alone we don't need any part of the U.N. Yet we continue to bankroll the farce. So with the Enact National Sovereignty Act we contribute nothing to the U.N., no troops, no funds, yet we remain members so as to observe our enemies.

Grace Commission II In 1982 Ronald Reagan (God Bless you man!) created the Grace Commission to work like tireless bloodhounds. Here are their findings. "We came up with 2,478 separate, distinct, and specific recommendations..... For practical purposes, these savings, if fully implemented, could virtually eliminate the reported deficit by the 1990's versus an alternative deficit of $10.2 trillion in the decade of the 1990's if no action is taken.
"Equally important, the 2,478 cost cutting, revenue enhancing recommendations we have made can be achieved without raising taxes, without weakening America's needed defense build up, and without in any way harming necessary social welfare programs. 'Nuff said!
Yet what I find mind boggling is that congress didn't approve any of this, and there were enough S.O.B.s running around come election day to re-elect this mental degenerates. Thanks dummies.

Through the Harvesting America's Resources Act, we allow drilling much closer to shore for oil, and natural gas. ANWR will be opened to drilling. We must depend on what is ours. We claim to care about the environment, so we don't drill yet we get oil from countries that couldn't care less about it. WHAT!? While doing so funding our enemies. Let's take what is ours, by Allah! Thus creating jobs, boosting the economy and lowering the price of gas. WOW! Truth be told Global Warming, Climate Change, whatever the current politically correct term is in for that at present is just proof that your I.Q. was found in the children's shoe department. Yet, eventually oil will run out, that is a simple truthful fact. So we must still look into other avenues to power America. With that said, as much as I hate to say it, we should look toward France. In 1977 Jimmy Carter whose brain are just peanut shells, made it illegal to recycle nuclear waste. Yet France has been doing so and can run their country for approximately fourteen years on the their waste. The U.S. currently has enough waste saved up that if used could run every American home for twelve years. The resulting amount of nuclear waste that we couldn't use after that is very insignificant. So what are we waiting for? So to top it off we will pass The Declaration of Energy Independence , so that by 2030 we are no longer depending on people that still wipe their butts with their bare hands for energy. No longer are we at their mercy.

The End of Political Corruption Act would first and foremost limit the amount of time that congress serve in office, allowing for a combined total of twelve years of serving in congress. That means two terms in the senate, six in the house, or one term in the senate and three in the house. Our founding fathers never intended for it to be a career, yet its happening. They are so concerned with getting re-elected that they forget about their actual job and waste valuable time trying to get another two or six years to tack on to their past fifty years of wasteful spending. So that they may concentrate on serving us instead of trying to stay in business we put a limit on the time they can be in. The president has to do it,(not in honor of FDR, like they tell you, but rather because he was an oxygen thief and tried to run us into the ground) so why can't they? Thus brings me to my next point, earmark spending, pork barrel, by whatever name it is called, it is only a ploy used by politicians to get re-elected. Why would I in North Cackalacky, want to spend my money on a bridge in Pigs Knuckle Arkansas, that not only I will never use, but only two people will use. In 2006 congress approved $29 billion in earmarks. That's a waste. If it is needed so bad, that is what the state and local governments are for, not the federal. So to reinforce the fact, since they have a couple chances to get re-elected, this bill would prohibit earmark spending. Also, every bill that congress passes, will apply to them, they are supposed to be U.S. citizens too. This means that they pay into social security and such too. Have a nice day Nancy! Also, to prevent the whole you scratch my back I'll scratch yours, all campaign contributions must be sent to a national office were they will be redistributed to the person they are meant to go, without the politician ever knowing who it came from. That'll take the starch from the union's britches.

I could tack a few other of my ideas on, but baby steps will do for now. Once the positive effects of this are shown, we can enact more like closing the Department of Education and giving that back to the states. Slowly but surely, we can take back our country from the liberal, progressive menace that has been plaguing us for years. LONG LIVE RONALD REGAN!

AHHHHH! Stupid People Are Everywhere!

The 19th century seems to abound with maligned and rather disturbing infantile theories that have now become revered ideologies into the 20th and 21st centuries despite the fact that they have been proven to be wrong. Darwin's theory of evolutionary thought that lead to eugenics and Hitler's quest to create a perfect race. Yet through my studies on the human body alone, there is no way, that by pure accident that we just happen to have an immune system, or sweat to cool off. It doesn't add up. This only lead me to confirm my belief that we were wonderfully made in God's image. Then we have Marx's and Engles pathetic notions, that they must of put as much thought into as I do about plopping yesterdays lunch into a porcelain chair. As per usual, I like to throw out the status quo, and engage in intellectual, almost philosophical conversations, (this kills time and stimulates the gray matter) on politics and religion. I was shocked by a police sergeant's closed minded, uneducated perspective on the grand scheme of things, claiming that trickle down economics is null and void, and clamoring on about how unions, that they "have it right." I spoke a piece on how unions are part of the cause of our current plague, and are in essence useless today. He said something about if a union worker heard me say that he'd hit me with a shovel. Thus ended the conversation, because we had to pull his truck out of the same hole that he got stuck in half an hour before. That should tell you something of the leftist, dare I say, intellect? So without further ado, what I wrote by chemlight:
There is no utopia, the thought itself is nothing but a pipe dream. You simply cannot achieve the perfection. But in lieu, you can do the next best thing. There is always a downfall in every system, so if common sense always prevailed, you'd choose the one with the least amount of faults. Now why do we even have money in the first place? To use it in exchange for something that we ourselves can't find or make. Now if you had no monetary limit, what would you buy? I'm not saying a happy marriage or something similar. The usual thing would be something like a Ferrari. Well if we were all equal financially speaking, either nobody would have it, or everyone would, which takes most of the fun from it, and is the least likely to occur. This in itself is incentive, if you want something you have to work hard for it. This means that you alone are responsible for your future. If you know that you have nothing to work towards, then you see that as you have no reason to work, and you just collect a wellfare check. Well, what happens when everyone begins to think like that, and nobody works? There would be no money, and nothing would ever get done. But by rewarding hard work, and moving up you make your own lot in life. So if you are a lazy worthless piece of garbage, you will die a lazy, worthless, piece of garbage. But, instead of sitting on your fat, blubbering posterior, you bust your hump day in and day out, never relenting, you stand a good chance of coming out on top. But, to do so, you need to realize, nothing in life is given to you. If it were so, there would be gumdrop mountains, rainbows sprouting out of Al Gore's ears, and Nancy Pelosi would be riding unicorns. The dull dreary thought of everyone being the same, it just sounds boring and repetitive, that cause there to be only one car company, one grocery shop, one TV channel. Dull. Lifeless. Like Janet Reno.
Now, if you made a substantially higher paycheck, would you sit on it, or spend more money? Well the above mentioned police sergeant's story was that Reaganomics doesn't work because the rich are all misers and live in caves on public land, eating roots and berries, while wearing fig leaves, or something like that. Well, to be honest, I for the half see the truth in what he was saying, but really, that just shows he never really thought beyond what he has, and what he wants.
If that were the case, why is there a market for caviar, Cadillacs, fur coats, fancy cigars, expensive wine, yachts, tailored suits, sports cars, and private jets? Now, without the wealthy, there would be no market for these, and millions of lost jobs. Well comrade if you want everyone to have a job you'll have a heck of a job creating more when you redistribute the wealth. So the whole thought that trickle down economics doesn't work is absurd, yet what is even more is Obama's trickle up quote. If you have money you will spend at least some of it, and if you have more, you will spend more. This might not always be the case, but I didn't say it was perfect, just that it was the best. So, by having more funds to spend, they will take that longer vacation, and get the leather seats in the car. Which all of these have more people involved in the process than you might think. Somebody has to raise the cow, somebody kills it, skins it, another tans the hide, somebody else cuts it to size and covers the actual seat. So by that one guy that had a little extra money in his pocket allowed more people to take home more money. That example alone missed numerous other people that profit from the entire ordeal. To top that off, those people that profited from it, get more money to spend on themselves and even more people get involved and exponentially everybody benefits. This is an elementary concept that people for whatever reason can't grasp! Why? It must be the curse of the department of educations meddling. Thanks Jimmy Carter! You were so good to us. (He might a good poster boy for a pro-choice campaign) Then again, common sense wouldn't prevail with the exception of a few.
My last job before coming to lovely Camp Swampy, was making guns for children. (The shame is I didn't make more.) We all liked working there, we could "organize" but we didn't want to. Why, you ask? Because the conditions were great, things were safe, we got paid well, etc. What we always dreaded was a visit from OSHA. Because, for starters, we were all grown adults, and if something wasn't safe, that was our own individual fault. Yet they would come by and say something about somebody not wearing safety glasses while running a CNC lathe that was completely in closed making there no reasonable need to wear glasses, unless it was secretly run by a nuclear reactor and we were bombed by Panamanian socialists. In that case I think safety glasses would be the least of our worries. My point is unions, aren't really needed, at all. For safety we have OSHA, the health department, all these inspectors out the wazoo. So Upton Sinclair can just stay dead, that was then this is now. There are so many regulations that really a union is only good for the "free" picnic. Another thought of mine that I'm just throwing out there for you to chew on is if unions protect the workers, why is there a Union of Union Representatives? That should speak for itself. A substantial number of people are threatened to join, (wait, who's protecting who from who now?) Yet in 60% of the elections to see if the company wants to join a union the vote passes, if they needed protection, don't you think the boss would try to stop them? The fact that they get mandatory pay raises would be in the words of Jackie Gleason "old fashion communism" that gives them no incentive to work harder. Another thought is of mine that I'm just throwing out out there is, if people are paying dues just for their collective bargaining, then how could SEIU ever afford to "contribute" $80 million smackers to candidates in the 2008 election? (Mostly Obama too) Truth is unions are about as crooked as a dogs hind leg, and about as useful as teats on a boar.They are very shady crooks.Read Arguing With Idiots by Glenn Beck, he does a much better job of explaining it than I do.But really, unions don't do anybody except the liberal politicians any good. Look at Chrysler, the union got almost all of the from the bailout package, why? Well if we follow the paper trail, their union paid millions into seeing Obama get elected. Oops! The cat rolled around in its own feces before being let out of the bag!
Unfortunately stupid people still exist, that's why things are how they are. But we can fix most of the problems, and pick up the slack of the Department of Education. Which brings me to my next post, unless something else comes up first. See you then.

Ignorance and the Liberal Agenda

Call him POTUS. Yes, strange as it seems, one of my coworkers has this etched onto his car as his license plate. It is an acronym for President of the United States. I think of this as a little presumptuous on his part, but that is his goal in life. Inevitably we got talking politics, and of the first things he wanted to know was where I stood. Of course I puffed my chest up and explained that I'm a God fearing, Reagan conservative. He just calmly stated that he was a republican. That is were the similarities end. His views tend to go against everything that the GOP stands for, hates the tea party movement, is for every thing that Obama does, and watches CNN. Last weekend at a BBQ for our mutual friends promotion, we got talking while sitting at the campfire. Eventually something that you just don't talk about was bound to come up, and of course it did. Some how the topic of abortion came up, he was somewhere in the middle on the issue, not a "butch" feminazi wading chest deep in unborn baby blood, but not someone who was against it. I tried to best explain my view on the subject when he made one comment that set me off. Not in a bad way, but it proved to me that the leftist mindset can't see beyond their noses. "You can't regulate morality."
Oh really? So I broke it down for him. What is one of the most heinous crimes that you go to jail for? Murder, right? So, what about the bands of cannibals that killed and ate WWII pilots in the Pacific? That was their religion, way of life, so what if that happened in America, they would go to jail and rightly so. Statutory rape is another one, in essence almost all laws are based on some form of morality. Like stealing, it happens all the time, and the people that do must think its alright to do it, (otherwise they wouldn't be doing it) so I think its safe to say that you can regulate morality because its been done for years. So with that said where does the moral basis for our American system of morals come from? Now what I'm about to type here is going to raise eyebrows and cause Nancy Pelosi and other assorted liberals to start calling their shrink and protesting naked in the streets. America was founded on Juedo-Christian principles. Now for those that don't know the truth are going to start saying something about the separation of church and state only because you heard someone else say it when they removed the Ten Commandments from the county courthouse. BUT! That's a very big but, (like Rosie O'donnell's) I would love for you to show me where in the constitution it says anything about that. The 1st amendment verbatim is as follows: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. That's it! Where is the separation stuff? Well its not there. All it says in regards to religion is that you can practice whatever you want, (that even allow those freaks in tight britches that cry and worship Satan to do their thing) and that there will be no national religion. Simple. I have read the rest and there ain't squat on it. There is nothing more to read into it. So what is wrong with the Ten Commandments in the courthouse?
A few years back, I was privy to a philosophical conversation, and later read the same belief in a novel, and to be honest I know that it is very true. I have my own personal beliefs on the matter, and regardless if yours differ or not, look at all the good that the christian church has done, besides giving little old ladies comfort and peace of mind, the charitable works are second to none. But ultimately the morals that it has established are the basis for an almost Utopian society. What is evil or offensive in "Thou shalt not kill"? Or love thy neighbor as thy self? Now of course the fact that it goes against current social norms, Thou shall not commit adultery, Thous shall not covet, but look at the problems that these 2 commandments if followed prevent. So why is it a supreme court decision to remove ten very sound, and in my mind common sense ideals from a public place?
It is all part of a plot to erode our morals, this works in numerous ways so that they can further manipulate us in their grand scheme of making us subject to big government. If you think about it, why else would abortion be such a big issue with them? The same reason that Obama gave millions to Philadelphia schools for Trojan Magnum condoms.Well, this is how I view the matter, and since part of job entails telling people to send their quarterback in with his helmet on, I take the higher road and tell them to keep their pants on. But, still I got of the preventive measures training for std's, in that we were told that one of the number one causes of condom failure is using magnum condoms. Because they are too big, they fall off or don't properly provide the barrier seal. Why are we wasting tax dollars on magnum condoms when the regular ones are made of the same elastic material and you can stretch them past your elbow without them breaking? Why are we even encouraging this behavior?
The logic behind this is that it creates illegitimate children. Think about the typical 17 year old boy, he has his entire life ahead of him and he doesn't want to waste his time on a family this early in life. So now you have a mother that must quit school to take care of the child, and what does she do? Collects welfare! What they are doing is creating dependence on the government at an early age. The mother then can't get a job because she has no high school diploma. If a child is raised in that environment, they think it is alright to do the same thing and suckle themselves from Miss Piggy. By allowing this to go on we are creating a never ending cycle. What is next?

A Clear Case Of Common Sense Never Prevails In The Federal Gov't

Stereotypically America has fallen under a cloud of I want it now-itis. I myself am just as guilty of this as everyone else, but I have seen the error in my ways and ever so slowly have been working to improve myself. But when you think about it, why is it that we need it now? People spend sleepless nights starring at the ceiling worrying about paying bills, and their credit score. Yet the true question is, in the end does it really matter?
As a kid when I wanted something "now" and didn't have the funds, I had to wait until I had the dough, or lost interest and gave up all together on the endeavor. Am I a lesser man as a result of not having 10 metric tons of plastic guns at my house? No, I believe this has caused me to see the world in a much more realistic light, and I'm quite certain that not getting what I wanted when I wanted it has had no negative effect on my upbringing or current situation. Now the emotional trauma that I have long suffered through, is irreversible and I constantly search eBay for the edible Creepy Crawly kits. (If you seriously believe that, you're dumber than I gave you credit (hehe) for) I also can thank my parents for their participation in what I once thought was a heinous enterprise of depriving me of what every boy should have, because of this I am not one of those sniveling whiners that expect everything in life to be given to them. (Sounds like the Kennedy's and the rest of the liberals) So how does this magical transition into adulthood alter reality? If you don't have the mullah, you don't come home with the 37' TV, that you have to sit in another zip code to watch anyhow. So what do you do? You take a piece of plastic, and use that just so you can impress your father in-law, and buddies, while telling assorted lies.
So for something worth $1,500, you will end up paying another $1,500 in interest over the next 30 years after the stupid thing froze the image of Janet Reno on the LCD screen scaring yourself and costing another $3,000 for therapy sessions for the kids. All just because you couldn't wait to have what would be outdated next month, because everyone else has one now. If you think about it all the interest we pay on useless things like that we could buy a car in cash, maybe even upgrade from a GMC, to a Cadillac. (I had to use GM, since Obama is CEO)
So, by now you are wondering why the sudden change from all the usual political mumbo jumbo, well its connected, and not coming apart any time soon, much like 2 dogs copulating. How can we as a nation expect for our government to balance a budget, and get our nation out of debt, when we ourselves are just as bad? If we as a nation would raise our children by teaching them personal financial responsibility, then our future leaders would be able, and not have an excuse to balance a budget! Take a good peek at our "fearless" leader, I'm willing to bet a large chunk of change that that boy has a large credit card bill, that or he really is trying to ruin our country with a subversive plot.
My second point is that debt is a major contributing factor to the current economic situation. Just like the Mel Gibson movie Maverick, somebody owes somebody else money, and that guy is running short on cash so he hunts up the guy that owes him money so he can pay somebody else, and he doesn't have it. Confused? Take your time I'm here all day. This causes bad blood between all involved parties, and they all get busted kneecaps, or file for bankruptcy. Look at the banks, and Sallie, and Freddie. Now look at this on an international scale, right now as I'm writing this we are at $13,059,330,197,338 in the hole and by the time I'm done with this sentence will be up a couple million more. We owe a substantial portion to China, now what happens when they come knocking on our door to collect? They certainly aren't looking out in our best interests. They are communists for starters, (and posses our nuclear secrets, thank you slick Willie!) That and their death vans, and slaughter of Christians is reason enough alone to not get along with them. But truth be told, we don't say anything because we owe them! So, once again we look toward the history books for what a possible occurrence might be. In 1956 the British, French, and Israeli's seized the Suez canal. President Eisenhower believed that that was against U.S. interests, and threatened to sell U.S. holdings of British currency and bonds. Provided that he did that the pound would've been a most unusual form of toilet paper. Leaving the Brits unable to pay for essential imports. So, what happens now when what we want China doesn't? There have been rumors claiming that Chinese officials claim that they can and would make the U.S. collapse from the inside, and this sounds like how they would do it.
How long can we go on like this? If I was this bad with money I'd be in jail, but then again politicians have been writing bad checks, and drowning people in cars, and everything else for years, why expect them to behave now?

Today I was afforded an opportunity that I have not had in a long time, that being listening to El Rushbo! and Sean Hannity, before Rush there was another program that I was not aware of. The little bit I caught before I switched it to 97.9 "The Bear" they were discussing Venus or now more appropriately, "Moon" Williams choice of attire for the French Open. The host was dead set against what clung to her like a dried booger to a nose hair, that was there under the facade of garments. Some woman called in and said "well that's her free speech." Really? What exactly was she saying? So I looked into the matter myself, and was non the less quite disturbed. To me there are only a handful of things she could be trying to say: look at my cellulite! Another thought that comes to mind is the phrase (I apologize but for lack of a better term) a "moose knuckle". Something else that caught my attention was a story about an Onslow County NC man was arrested on one count of crimes against nature, 2 counts of statutory rape, and two counts of indecent liberty's with a child. He was released on bail. The story was he got the girl to smoke marijuana with girls her age, so that she wouldn't tell her parents and then he had his way with her until a neighbor caught him in the act. By now, you are probably wondering what these two incidents have in common, let me enlighten you.
What we are looking at is a moral denigration of our society, from the injustice of the judicial system to showing off your labia in public. For starters I have no time for people that mess with children, especially the very young. They are our future, and they are innocent by the very definition of the word, and when they are molested and raped that ruins them for life, the psychological effects are quite drastic, and they are never the same again. Studies have shown that sexually abused children have a very high likely hood of being criminals, or mentally deranged. The fact that this got is still on the streets until the courts decide his fate is an unsettling thought. I find it very sad that things like this go on in our "civilized" society, and that they are a constant news item. Years ago that wouldn't have been tolerated.
When my grandparents got satellite TV a few years back my grandmother refused to watch All In the Family, because back when it was first on it was viewed as vile, for language and so on. My dad said to her to watch it, because compared to what is on now it is a clean wholesome family show. He had a good point, today isn't yesterday. I look at cartoons now, and wonder what I'm watching, and what age group its meant for because of some of the material. But this shouldn't surprise you, seeing that Obama's "Safe School Czar"Kevin Jennings, is a militant homosexual that has written a forward for a book called "Queering Elementary Education", a book with chapters entitled: Teaching Queerly: Some Elementary Propositions, Why Discuss Sexuality in Elementary Schools? and Locating a Place for Gay and Lesbian themes in Elementary Reading, Writing, and Talking. To make matters worse his suggested reading list for grammar schoolers has some rather explicit material involving anal sex in bathrooms, old guys and little boys and the like. Years ago freaks like this lived in hiding on the fringes of society or kept their unnatural appetites under their hat because if it was found out they were lynched or run out of town. Yet this type of stuff has gotten mainstream, we allow this. That is even scarier.
Now it seems that there has been a habit of calling women sluts, hoes, whores, or whatever. But when you wear an outfit like "Moon" did it's pretty darn easy to see where this stems from. IF you want people to stop calling you things like "slore" then maybe you shouldn't wear a skirt that stops above the beginning of your butt cheek. Just a thought. Now some of you are probably calling for the government to put a stop to things like the pac man outfit that she wore. Truth be told, that's not what the government is there for, society she put a stop to things like that, but even beyond that the family. The family is the basis for how you turn out, they give you a moral compass. What good is it though when when everyone has a magnet in their pockets? Its hard to raise a good moral child when divorce rates are at fifty percent, and illegitimacy is the social norm. We are failing. Every bit of us is, I'm just as at fault as you are for not doing anything. I feel fortunate to have had parents that raised me the way they did, because of that I knew early on what was right and wrong, instead of gray. Because of that upbringing, I'm in the military, while some of my high school classmates are in jail. People see a need for government intervention because society is immoral and families no longer exist. What was once thought of as moral is being called backward, or old fashioned, as a way to manipulate those that deserve respect.
We need to bring back the god fearing family that once was the foundation of the greatest country known to man. The church and a good family are the building blocks of a good society, and a good person, but society can also kill it. If we did that can you imagine how much better off we'd be? What worked for our forefathers can still work for us, it's not like the turning of the calendar pages render it ineffective. Until we do that we will continue down a long evil path that leads to destruction, pain, and sorrow.

On Stupidity and Swivel Chairs

Somethings seem to be passed down through genetics and through how you were raised. In one of those processes I seem to inherited a hankering to write from my grandfther, be it poems, short stories, whatever. (That might explain what I'm doing now) In one of my grandfathers writings that I read awhile back he thanked the navy for keeping his faher employed during the depression. Forever it seems that the military has always been toted as a guareenteed source of income. People go in and decide to make a career out of it, retire and collect a pension, they do so under the impression that this is inevitable. Not too long ago I was actually kind of glad that I had a guareenteed source of income, unlike those that blew a substancial amount of money on college, only to graduate and not be able to get a job with today's economy. Well now I am not too sure on how lucky myself and the others in my siuation really are.
In all of his brilliance, Obama is cutting the defense budgets and forcing out thousands of people from their jobs within the DoD. Regardless of how many years you have been in, you stand a resonable chance of getting ousted. There is a man in my clinic that is being booted in June after putting in 14 years, he would be up for retirement soon, yet now he will have to start from square one. He has a wife and kids to feed, he does excelliant work, so its not like its his own fault. Does this seem odd to you? It does to me. If you are trying to boost the economy, wouldn't it make sense to try and keep as many jobs as possible? It would seem that this concept has not yet to be comprehended amongst those in Washington. ( I beleive it was Gen Patton that once said "No good decision was ever made from the seat of a swivel chair.")
The logic behind this seems to escape me, probably because I don't speak stupidity. So I tried to come up with resonable reasons for this. They realized the costs of the healthcare bill and want to redirect funds. They are stupid. They ran out of money from spending on bailouts. They want us overran by muslims. They are trying to balance the budget. (Yeah, like they would do that) They want to send a message to the world that America is a land of people that love rainbows, and unicorns and we are going to keep them alive by going green.
The breadth of the scheme is rather large, I myself am currently being screened on if they will let me get new orders in a couple months for my next 2 years, or just give me the boot. With the new influx of jobless vets my question is where will we work? The unemployment rate is already rather high, and if there wasn't jobs before is the job fairy going to pull them from its butt over a fortnight?
While all of this sinks in, I want you to look at that retard with an Obama sticker on their bumper that you pass on your way to work and think that that lousy S.O.B. elected one from their own kind. (And if you're smart run, them off the road so they don't get any wise ideas in Nov.)

"I think at a certain point you've made enough money." Who done it? Who said that? Huh? Huh? Don't know? Come on! What are you thinking there are only a couple of people that would say such a thing. Give up? The "messiah", that is exactly who said in it, in an off the cuff remark. I've said it before and so have lots of other folks this guy is a pinko. This is not only a direct attack at the the American dream but also an attack at all that America has ever stood for. Is this not unsettling? I mean come on, this is something straight from an Orwell novel, if you are familiar with Animal Farm (for those that aren't its an allegory on communist Russia) the "change" was subtle, then drastic and scary. The truth is trickling slowly so that those that are slow themselves might have time to see the way things are before it is too late.
So, his magestic holier than thou, how much is too much? Most of you reading this in your inability to see everything in a view that is beyond what you see before you, would say something along the lines of: "Oh that won't effect me, I'm middle class." Bull! This is a prime example of how ignorance is just as dangerous as down right stupidity. It will effect you and drastically, but more on that later. What would seem like enough? 100k? 200k? $1,000,000? Well the empire has $5,000,000 for new clothes. That I am sure puts him in the upper class, if I'm not mistaken. So if he thinks that at a certain point enough money is made then why didn't he give that money to charity, or toward our exponentially growing deficit? (On a side note under a Stalinesque type communism only the people in government would be rich.) Well he needs the money to go on vacation and relax from his high stress job. Really? He makes 400k a year for the rest of his life, and in the mean time the 51% that pay taxes pay for his "vacations", so that a load off hog swallow when you look at the fact that most people are lucky if they bring in $30,000 a year and have only that to live on. So how are you going to determine how much is enough? If it is anything like his sudden urge for health care he will ask for suggestions, and before he can hear a suggestion make up a number.
By now you are wondering how an attitude like this is going to effect you. Good, its about time you pulled your head out of your orifice and listened to reason. The trickle down. No that is not the sound of drool rolling from Janet Reno's haggard face, but how it works. In a nutshell, when the rich spend money everybody profits. Some of you are probably wondering how this makes sense, so here it is barney style:
What do the rich spend their money on? Rich people things of course silly! Like brandy snifters and fancy cars. So the regime decides to put a hefty tax on yachts. Because of course, their narrow little heads can't comprehend the entire repercussions of their ignorance. Now common sense says that the rich didn't get rich by being stupid, so they aren't just going to dish out the extra how ever many bucks to go pretend to be a "seaman", so what are they going to do? Not buy a stinking yacht! This is the part where you come in. If nobodies buying them what are the companies going to do? Start laying off so they can continue making about the same profit. Now how many people go into making just one yacht? Well you have those that assemble, those that cut the trees for the wood, those that harvest the ore, those that take the ore to the refinery, those that make the ore into nails, those that make the paint, those that paint it, those sew the sails, and that annoying guy that gets in your face that tries to sell it too you. Now this list is probably missing a great deal of other people involved. So after people quit buying yachts, the yacht industry goes under, the guys making the paint get laid off, because there isn't a need for that much paint. So if you look at how all off this is connected, it effects more people lower on the totem pole than rich. Now if we reverse this, look at the outcome. There would be a lot of jobs opening because of the demand for yachts, so that makes the rest of that chain increase jobs and profits. So lets look at example where the rich were robbed under the pretense of feeding the poor and the money just sort of, got lost in transit. Cuba, a communist country, a.k.a. a third world, maybe even a fourth or fifth. They tried being pinko and found it wasn't the answer to their problems. Prior to Castro Cuba was the modern day equivalent of the Bahamas, and Vegas all put together, quite a thriving economy. If you have ever read the Old Man and the Sea, you saw a glimpse of what Cuba was before Castro. Now Russia is a different story, they were already in dire straights because of the Great War. So their economy was crap. So what does Lenin do to boost their economy? He institutes capitalism in a plan called: New Economic Policy. When a renowned communist institutes capitalism that should tell you about how well it works. But after they reverted back to communism their economy still was garbage. To have it even close to working means you have to have an amazing economy before you start. So clearly this is not the time for such measures as disrupting capitalism. How will it work when we don't have the jobs?
To demonstrate the lack of intellect this usurper, let us look into what he has done. For starters the health care thing. That should be self explanatory. Placing a 4% surcharge on the rich, while also eliminating the Bush tax cuts. Placing wage ceilings. Messing with financial institution employees. Where does it end? If we continue to not think beyond ourselves we will only screw ourselves. If we don't learn from history we will only continue the never ending cycle of failure.

I am quite certain that all of us have wanted something for Christmas, birthday or whatever in the worst way; just when you got were let down or disappointed by its cheap construction or the hype that blew it out of proportion. It seems that Americans have once again had it happen to them. This time it wasn't a slinky or dress me up like prince, Barbie, but rather something much more costly: a president.
The current Rasmussen poll says that 42% of the American public strongly disapprove of where this crazy laughingstock is steering our great nation, while 29% approve, and I guess those not mentioned must not have been asked or were too upset to answer coherently. So he has an over all rating of -13. But the current trend from the charts show that more and more people wish they could go back in time and recast their vote. Hmmmmmmm, so much for the "Messiah". Seriously, what did you expect? This is like biting into a doughnut and finding out that it isn't filled with Bavarian cream, but rather a steaming turd, talk about a let down. Unless you expected this from the get go, then how can you possibly feel let down? The "great satan" himself George W. Bush left the White House with an approval rating of -30. Yet there wasn't nearly the open outrage then as there is now. Why is that?
I have greatly failed in keeping up with the goings on in the outside world, I just got back from leave, and WOW! talk about an eye opener. I knew things were bad but not like it really is. I can literally feel the foundation that we were built upon crumbling below my feet. If the founding fathers knew that this was how things would turn out I seriously doubt that would have wasted their time in even trying. If you are any student of history you would understand what I'm talking about. But to get a true understanding you need to read the letters and journals of those that wrote our constitution. If you did that there wouldn't be any arguments on if the militia means that only the military is meant to have the right to have guns. Look at what I mean :All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent. Advertisements contain the only truths to be relied on in a newspaper. A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government. These are all quotes from Thomas Jefferson, the person that supposedly the democratic party stems from. After reading that don't you think he's probably rolled over a couple times this week alone in his grave? That sums up a lot and we didn't need a bunch of tools in the supreme court to tell us what they intended when they wrote the law.
Now look at what Obama's doing, trying to pass laws that would give him power to fire any employee of any financial institution that he thinks is necessary to fire, because he can. If that isn't tyranny I don't know what is. If that's not communism I'm at a loss what else it might be. So why is he doing it? Because he is a pawn in the liberal machines agenda to make America communist, don't believe me? Look at all that they do, taxing the rich 78%, wellfare.They are redisributing the wealth. That is what they have been trying to do for a long time. Why was it that all of the sudden there was a problem with our health care that we were not aware of? They saw an opportunity and seized it. They knew they couldn't do it over night. If you slowly raise the temperature of the burner you can roast a frog alive, and that is what they are doing and now it is coming to the surface. I said it for years but now its being realized. They want you living off of the government, suckling yourselves off the teats of the government. That is how you can be controlled.

I need to stop now that I'm all depressed but it is what it is.

Bodies of 21 Babies Found Dumped in Chinese River

Bodies of 21 babies have been discovered in plastic bags in a river in eastern China and authorites suspect they were dumped there by local hospitals, state media reported Tuesday.

An initial investigation showed that eight of the 21 babies wore identification tags on their feet tracing them back to Jining Medical College Hospital in Shandong province, the according to the People's Daily Web site. The other 13 were unidentified.

Three of the eight were admitted to the hospital in critical condition, the report said.

South Korea's president ordered the military on alert Tuesday for any moves by rival North Korea after the defense minister said last week's explosion that sank a South Korean ship may have been caused by a North Korean mine.

The blast ripped the 1,200-ton ship apart last Friday night during a routine patrol near Baengnyeong Island near the tense maritime border west of the divided Korean peninsula. Fifty-eight crew members, including the captain, were plucked to safety; 46 are missing, with dim prospects for their survival.

A 53-year-old diver who lost consciousness during the underwater mission to locate the missing crewmen died Tuesday, the Joint Chiefs of Staff said. A second diver was being treated for injuries, officials said.

A prominent southeast Arizona rancher likely was killed by an illegal immigrant, but there's no evidence to suggest there was any confrontation that led to the shooting, authorities said Monday.

The body of Robert Krentz, 58, was located before midnight Saturday on his 35,000-acre ranch about 35 miles northeast of Douglas after his brother reported that he had lost radio contact with Krentz earlier in the day. . . .

Investigators said Krentz apparently came upon one person when he was shot. Krentz was heard telling his brother "illegal alien" on the radio earlier Saturday, and the area of the killing is a known smuggling corridor, according to authorities.

While Krentz was still in his vehicle, mortally wounded, he managed to drive the ATV away from the scene at a high rate of speed before becoming unconscious. The ATV still had its lights on and the engine running when authorities found it.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's hometown of Searchlight, Nev., served as kickoff site Saturday for the latest Tea Party Express tour -- and apparently Reid's supporters weren't too happy about it.

The conservative Tea Party activists were there to protest the policies of Reid and other Democratic leaders, and Reid supporters staged their own protest, with some allegedly throwing eggs at a Tea Party Express bus.

Conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart said he witnessed the egg-throwing while speaking with some of the Reid supporters, though a video of the scene is inconclusive.

Breitbart's story was backed up by Levi Russell, a Tea Party Express spokesman.

It's A Baby Killer

While I am deeply upset with the passage of the healthcare bill and disappointed in our congressmen for so blatantly ignoring the wishes of their constituents, I am encouraged by the fact that God is in control. He has a plan for this country.

Rep. Randy Neaugebauer, R-Texas, released a statement taking ownership of last night’s “baby killer” comment shouted while Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Mich., was speaking Sunday night. . . .
“Last night was the climax of weeks and months of debate on a health care bill that my constituents fear and do not support. In the heat and emotion of the debate, I exclaimed the phrase ‘it’s a baby killer’ in reference to the agreement reached by the Democratic leadership. While I remain heartbroken over the passage of this bill and the tragic consequences it will have for the unborn, I deeply regret that my actions were mistakenly interpreted as a direct reference to Congressman Stupak himself. “I have apologized to Mr. Stupak and also apologize to my colleagues for the manner in which I expressed my disappointment about the bill. The House Chamber is a place of decorum and respect. The timing and tone of my comment last night was inappropriate.”
If only our congressmen would say what they mean, what they think, more often. The next generation of Americans is being annihilated, and Rep. Neugebauer can't say that the bill is a baby killer. Which, considering the fact that it supports abortion, it is. The inclusion of funded abortions relegates those in support of it to the role of murderers. And yet people at my college can stick posters across campus advertising that "meat's not green" and that we need to save the polar bears.

Perverting The Vision

Imagine with me if you will a day when you don't make decisions for yourself, but a much higher authority does. This includes what you can do, how much exercise you are required based on health records, you have become a mere pawn in the largest game of chess ever played. This is not 1984 or some other Orwellian plot; but the very future of our lives.
Rumor on the street has it that congress is currently discussing a bill that would make it illegal for a cook to put salt in your food at a resturarnt. As absurd as this sounds lawmakers have been doing this type of thing since the dawn of time. There are two main purposes for this: 1 in what Glenn Beck refers to as the nanny state lawmakers try to think for us in what they think is our best interest when really its common sense, such as seat belt laws. Granted they do save lives, but why do we need the government to step in and tell us that we have to do something when it boils down to common sense. I call it survival of the fittest, if you are too stupid for your own good you prevent yourself from contaminating the gene pool. 2 this what congress does to justify their existance. There are only so many things to do, so they make up B.S. problems to create laws to fix them, which never fix the so called problem in the first place, and only create more problems. Look at global warming as a prime example. Remember they fear that if we can no longer justify paying them they will disappear.
Now think of what this means, no pasta. When boiling water to make pasta you add salt. Believe it or not but salt goes into cakes, and cookies too. So they are ruining our diets and restricting our rights. Be it the day when somebody tells me that I can't eat something because they said so. Now here is the big question, when our founding fathers gave established our government they gave it certain powers, so as to prevent tyranny. So how can they legally do this? It clearly states in the tenth amendment: The powers not delegated to the United States by the constitution, nor prohibitted by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people. Now I want you to show me in the constitution where it says that they can control what I can eat. IF you can come up with some goofy clause that allows this leave me a comment. What we have a country have allowed this them to go unquestioned. At the same time where does this facillitate socialized medicine? Clearly the American people have forgotten the number of lives given to prevent us from livening under a government that over stepped its bounds. We fought the Brits because we thought the king was a tyrant. Also, the common misconception that the War Between the States, was fought over slavery is wrong. The Emmancipation Proclamation was written after the Battle of Antiemn in 1862. Fort Sumpter the battle that started the war, started on April 12, 1861. Wouldn't it make sense that if that was about slavery that the Proclamation would've been written first? No it boils down to states rights, the south knew that the government was becoming too powerful and they stood up against that. When are we going to say enough is enough? Their power stems from our consent, they are there to benifit us not control us like a gulag. All branches of government continue to allow unconstitutional laws to be passed, as a result all that what our country once stood for is being corrupted and we are loosing our national identity.

A bill in Congress that would prohibit discrimination in public schools based on sexual orientation or gender identity could stifle free speech and even lead to "homosexual indoctrination" in the nation's classrooms, critics say.

There comes a point in time when man must put his foot down in usually what is a large pile of fecal material and stop a flawed uneducated mindset or just plain stupid idea. Once again I find myself doing this for you, the reader. Today I am going to wade through all of the B.S. and give you the reader tools to fight the liberal agenda's corrupt mindset. Religion is something that the left wants to silence because it teaches the people how their flawed beliefs are wrong. So the left tries to use arguments like that religion is an outdated, backwords idea, that just shows you how uneducated you are, so on and so forth. But today I have a way for you to speak out against the left and show them how much common sense they lack.
A lot of research has been conducted to find the gay gene and prove that queerism is a genetic trait not a matter of choice. I have heard that they alledged found this, but for whatever resson this isn't mainstream news. Now why is that? I will explain how that is impossible very shortly. For starters just about any expierement into that is likely to be very biased toward proving that there is a gay gene. Look at the Miller, Urey expieriment that tried to prove how the "first" cells were made instead of creating life they created toxic chemicals that would prevent any life from existing, but this is still being taught to America's youth as proof that evolution is how we came about.
Clearly you can't be a true Christan and beleive that homosexuality or evoulution is right, so what if you beleived in evolution? That would prove that there can't be a gay gene. Through all the "billions" of years of human development the gay gene would have been bred out of the gene pool. Survival of the fitess. If you can't breed and reproduce then those genes die out. Plain and simple it makes about as much sense as me voting for a liberal.
Now if we look back throughout history we can see how fairys are that way by choice. The spartans from the true 300 story had an orgy prior to the battle. During the renassance it was popular for a young boy to have a sugar daddy that would treat him to fine gifts in return for sexual favors. In the current middle east, woman are held in such low regard that they have man love Monday, according to them all woman are good for is breeding. Boys, men, and animals are for "fun". Don't beleive me? Ask anyone thats been there, and they'll tell you the same thing. Now if its determined that you are a full fledge fag they will stone you, but on Monday anything goes. Look at dropping your soap in prison.
All that they are trying to do by forcing this vile, disgusting garbage down our throats is to undermine the very same religon that provides the basis for our founding fathers to make the laws that started our country down the right path. They are trying to silence the truth because it makes them feel bad when they are proven wrong. They are just trying to force their corrupt agenda down everyone throats to make America communist. By even suggesting that gay is not a choice would mean that it is normal for catholic priests to have an affliction for little boys. Just the other day a grandfather came up to me at graduation and asked me if I was a corpsman. I of course said yes. He asked me how it felt to be a corpseman. I gave the dirtiest of looks that I could conjur up and he said that that is what our glorious commander in chief called me and my brethern. In a speech he said how proud he was of the Navy corpsemen in Hati. Now I take great offense to this, have you heard of the Marine corspse? No by the time a young lad's testicles have dropped he learns his errored ways and corrects it. It is basic Latin. The news media spent the last eight years trying to defame George W. Bush and call him an uneducated inbred retard because he wasn't a great oratator, and was a little nervous in front of crowds. Yet we have a man that insults his troops by insinuating that instead of being the angels of the battlefield where through our wings we patch the Marines up and put them back into the forward charge. Togehter we are the angels amongst each others shoulders for we keep each other alive. Instead aaccording to our glorious proclaimed "messiah" we are bringers of death to our Marines. That just goes to show how much of master of the teleprompter the Obama family is, look at his wife who annoys me to the point that if her Hati relief commercial was any longer my wrists would be slashed she is that bad. At least George Bush could memorize a script and not look at a telepromter. If he had done that it would be all over the news, but considering who it was it quietly fell through the cracks to be swept into the dustpan of history. My second thing is Hati, why are we in Hati? What have they done for us? Here we are amongest a great economical decline and we are helping those that can't even take care of themselves on a normal day. We have starving people here in America and we aren't doing anything about that. Its only making things worse for us by spending the tax payers money on a worthless cause. Yes I just sayed that and will stand by that. What about Katrina when did Hati come to our aid? When has anyone come to our aid? When billions of dollars in damage was done to us and nobody reached out to help us in our time of need, and with all we have done in the past for other countries amongst our world we are always helping France a weak and pathetic nation that is continually conquired by every western nation since the Romans, we lost lives for Beirut, Somaillia, and the liberation of Kuwaitt, why should we help anyone else? Whatever happened to the Monroe Doctorine mindset. We need to take care of overselves first before we can try and take care of a country that will never help us. When is going to be our turn, when is someone going to help us for our next Katrina? When is someone going to help us with the next 7.0 in the San Andreas? Is it going to take us to ask someone else for our aid?

First, there was my seeming inability to shut up, which started when my professor said that families with loved ones in the military/deployed watch CNN for their news, and I said that they watch Fox, and then continued when she mentioned that the military and government have hid the number of casualties in war, and I proceeded to enlighten her about Honor the Fallen. But the highlight of my life occurred when we were discussing Saddam's lack of weapons of mass destruction and suddenly she said something to the effect of: When Obama was building his arsenal. . . . At which point a round of "OOOOOH!" sounded throughout the room and my jaw dropped as I started laughing. And then she looked up at the ceiling, shook her head, placed her hand on her chin and said, "Freudian slip." Is she aware of what a Freudian slip is? If so, I must admit that she just rose a few notches on my Opinion Pole.

I'm taking Media History under the same professor who, last year, docked points from my presentation on military advertising because I failed to address her claim that people have become leery of enlisting since 9/11. An acquaintance who happens to be an Army recruiter debunked that statement (he provided me with most of the material I used in my presentation), but my grade remained unchanged.
This semester seems as though it will be equally interesting. On the first day of class, she tore into the failures of Vietnam, and according to our syllabus, our topics of discussion will include the following: "Abolition," "Exposing Joe McCarthy," "Is This What You Mean By Color TV?," "The Black and the Beautiful," "Restrictive Portrayals of Asians in the Media," "Consumerism and the Construction of Black Female Identity," "Lesbian Chic," "Lots of Friends at the YMCA," "Popular Culture and Queer Representation," "Vietnam War," "Watergate," "Rush Limbaugh," "9/11," and "What We Really Miss About the 1950s." Do you know what I really miss about the 1950s? Women as homemakers, rearing kids and making sandwiches for their husbands. We're also going to watch "Hairspray" and "Pleasantville." And if nap time could be worked in there somewhere, that would be lovely.
This morning, we managed to talk about Glenn Beck for a rather lengthy amount of time, though none of it was really positive (on the other hand, the discourse never became completely became uncivilized, either). We also watched a segment of the Thomas Paine video that is currently on YouTube and was featured on Fox News, and my professor mentioned that Beck had written a book titled Common Sense. I almost volunteered to bring in my copy for her to read.
And we talked about the Tea Party movement, at which point my professor asked if I'd attended a tea party, because she thought she remembered me mentioning something about that. So I explained that yes, I'd attended a small tea party locally, and I'd also gone to the one in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 12, and I'd also met Glenn Beck when I attended his show last Spring. And then, since I thought I might as well shovel the dirt on top of myself since I'd clearly just dug my grave, I told her that there were quite a few liberals and Democrats at D.C. on 9/12, and the media lied about the number of people actually in attendance, and Glenn Beck is really a nice person.
I decided to add the video we watched today. We stopped around 1:37. 1:00 - 1:27 is my favorite.

Aside from Media History, I am also studying Human Diseases (like ebola and anthrax, which make any class exciting), Contemporary Middle East (Iranian Revolution to today) and Psychology. Are my courses interesting? Yes. Are they applicable? I don't foresee myself needing to know how to create trypticase soy agar after this semester. On the other hand, one of my best friends attends a Christian college (and it's not just a nominal one, either). She's taking a course titled "Christian Home" this semester, which, according to the college's course catalog (yes, I admit I researched it), "explores the biblical views of dating, engagement, marriage, parenting, and other family life issues. Special attention is given to the development of an effective family ministry within the local church which addresses contemporary family life problems." I don't even know how to file taxes properly. But then again, neither does Sec'y Geithner.

I used to work at a Boy Scout camp as a firearms instructor. I must have done something right because I was requested to work there the entire summer. Throughout the week long trainning process that qualifiedus as camp staff; they told a story about a man that was an Eagle scout, which to those who don't know is a very big deal. Promotions in the military and so on. This man felt guilty twenty plus years later because he felt that he didn't truly earn a merit badge, but rather that it was pretty much given to him. So he hasseled the national office and had them remove his name from the official Eagle scout roster. The moral of the story at that time was make sure that if you sign it off that it was actually done. But, today's lesson is a little different.
Granted it is old news that Saddam Hu........ Oops! That middle name thing kind've throws me off. The "messiah" was given the Nobel Peace Prize...... What!? How? Why? What has he done? Ah! Talking must qualify a man for what was once highly reveared and now they give it away, not for action, but making empty promises. Here is another thought; if a police officer arrests a man with a bounty, since he is doing his job he cannot lawfully accept the bounty. When Saddam was found nobody in the military got the reward because they were doing their job. I'll let that sink in.
But then again, you must be a liberal to get the Nobel peace prize. In doing research for this I looked at other winners. I stopped at 1993 because I was starting to get sick to my stomach. Al Gore, Jimmy Carter. What more do I need to say? Arafat leader of the PLO a known terrorist group got it. Then you have people that actually earned it like Dr. King. I will tell you right now that if I would refuse the award on principle. Why should I associate myself with the likes of Al Gore. what has he done? Invented the internet. Responsible for the Styx albulm Kilroy Was Here, wait that was his wife.
So in keeping up with the times I'm going to throw out some names for this year. Theodore John Kaczynski hasn't killed anybody reccently while in prison. My dog promotes peace because if you shadow box he barks and gets scared. If none of these sound rdiculous you must be a nominator.
The left continues to be glorified for nonexistant accoumptlishment and whenever we do something a liberal some how ruins it. Now that I'm mad I think I'll take some asprin and go for a run.

The Department of Veterans Affairs has published a list detailing the vocabulary of Operation Iraqi Freedom -- a list that contains such entries as "death blossom," a term originating in the 1984 science-fiction film "The Last Starfighter." It is used by servicemen to describe fire sprayed indiscriminately in all directions. The list also includes the terms "Mortaritaville" and "Bombaconda," both referring to LSA Anaconda, a base near Balad, Iraq, that is frequently the target of mortar attacks.
"Soldiers use these terms because they try to make the best they can of their situation and give things kind of a humorous angle," said Lt. Col. Charles Kohler of the Maryland National Guard.
The term "Mortaritaville," a reference to the Jimmy Buffett song "Margaritaville," is only one of many terms soldiers use to take the edge off an environment that is potentially frightening and often beyond their control, said Indiana University linguist Michael Adams.
"It's making a really terrifying experience manageable by attempting to make it familiar," Adams said. . . .
"It's language for them made by them to consolidate their social relationships," he said. "In war, people's survival depends on (these relationships)."
Military slang is versatile and can refer to anything in a soldier's environment - equipment, locations, or people.
Maj. Liam Kingdon, who works for the Reserve Officers' Training Corps at the University of Maryland in College Park, said he has heard fellow service members referred to as "fobbits." The word is a contraction of Forward Operating Base (FOB) and "hobbit," a creature from The Lord of the Rings known for its sedentary habits.
"It's basically a soldier, sailor or airman who never leaves the base," Kingdon said. "You've got people there who leave the base all the time to go on patrol, and you've got people who literally just stay on the base."
"[Slang terms are] part of my everyday language now," said Matt Robbins, who lives in College Park and is a senior at the University of Maryland.
In 2008, Robbins deployed to Tikrit, Iraq, as a communications specialist, and said his stay there has made him acutely aware of differences in cultural customs.
"In Iraq, you don't show the bottom of your foot to people; it's considered impolite," Robbins said. "I still don't do that."
He also recalls the fact that soldiers referred to Iraqis as "hajis" -- an Arabic term describing a person who has made the pilgrimage to Mecca.
But in this particular case, Robbins said, the use struck him as derogatory, so "I don't use that anymore."
The term "haji" has various derivatives, such as the designation "haji shop" for a cart or booth run by natives, where DVDs, soda and other small items are sold.
Slang terms referring to features of a base are also common. . . .
Other terms link life in the military to items or concepts familiar from other environments -- often, the environment is home, or a favorite movie. For example, improvised vehicle armor made from scrap metal is also known as "hillbilly armor" and a truck with large amounts of add-on armor may be designated a "Frankenstein." . . .
The fascination with military-speak has also led to expressions of artistic creativity. Earlier this year, alternative rock band Cracker released a song called "Yalla Yalla" -- Arabic for "let's go" -- built around military slang, including such terms as "Bombaconda" and "haji."
At least some of these terms are likely to make it into everyday language, Adams said. When that will happen is unclear because "those serving have to bring the terms home and influence the use of those who haven't served."
But maybe the day when "couch potatoes" become "fobbits" is not so far off.

My primary reason for posting this excerpt was because I found the article interesting. My secondary reason was my frustration while reading the part about the term "haji."
First of all, the term is hajji, according to both Arabic and the AP Stylebook. Omitting a "j" changes the pronunciation of the word.
Second of all, although American military personnel tend to use the term derogatively, hajji is an honorable title, used to refer to Muslims who have completed the hajj, or pilgrimage to Mecca (one of the five pillars of Islam). Although the hajj should be completed by all Muslims, not all Muslims to whom military personnel refer have done so. Therefore, the term is a misnomer.

A veteran of three wars who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor is now facing an unlikely enemy — his neighbors.
Col. Van T. Barfoot, 90, has raised the Stars and Stripes every day at sunrise and lowered them every day at sunset since he served in the U.S. Army. But on Tuesday he received a letter from the law firm that represents his homeowners' association, ordering him to remove the flagpole from his Richmond, Va. yard by 5 p.m. on Friday or face "legal action." . . .
The [homeowners'] association at Sussex Square community told Barfoot that the freestanding, 21-foot flagpole that he put up in September violates the neighborhood's aesthetic guidelines. . . .
"There's never been a day in my life or a place I've lived in my life that you couldn't fly the American flag," Barfoot said in an interview with the Richmond Times-Dispatch. . . .
The statement reminded the public that many American flags hang from homes in the Sussex Square community, and that the board members object only to Barfoot's freestanding flagpole.
But Barfoot says he has always flown the flag from a height: "Where I've been, fighting wars ... military installations, parades, everything else, the flag is vertical. And I've done it that way since I was in the Army," Barfoot told the paper.
Barfoot is one of the country's last living World War II veterans who received the Medal of Honor. He also served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War and earned a Purple Heart. In WWII, Barfoot showed his mettle in Carano, Italy, where he single-handedly destroyed a set of German machine gun nests, killed eight enemy soldiers, took 17 prisoners and stared down a tank before destroying it and killing its crew — all in a single day. Exhausted by his herculean efforts, he still managed to move two of his wounded men 1,700 yards to safety.
"Sgt. Barfoot's extraordinary heroism, demonstration of magnificent valor, and aggressive determination in the face of pointblank fire are a perpetual inspiration to his fellow soldiers," reads the official citation for his Medal of Honor.

My professor thinks General McChrystal is one of the least qualified men Obama should take advice from regarding the war, because has no experience in the area. Experts on the region, those who speak the native languages and know the history of the area, are better suited to make a decision about the war (which, by the way, is just like Vietnam -- it's an issue of not whether we'll lose the war, but under whose administration). I know I would definitely take the advice of a desk jockey with book smarts over that of a man with his boots on the ground. That's clearly the logical choice.

On another note of the same level of happiness, the semester ends in sixteen days and I have a rather large amount of work and studying to do between now and the start of finals on the 15th. Therefore, I will once again be intermittently posting, at least until the 18th, when finals end and I return home for six weeks.

Wright Rails Again

Today while listening to the radio, I happened to hear some of the statements that the Rev. Jeremiah Wright made about our country. I have never heard a Christian pastor talk the way that man does. At the risk of being politically incorrect, I am going to try to be very delicate because I feel nothing but true pity for this man. He seems to have missed the whole concept of this country and on the shoulders this generation now stands. It is hard for me to believe the words I heard come out of his mouth, and it is also hard for me to believe that President Obama never heard the messages he preached after being in his congregation for 20 years. If this had been a conservative saying these things, our state-controlled media would have been screaming. If Mr. Wright does not love this country (this country has made him millions!) and hates capitalism the way he does, I think he should move to some third-world country where maybe he thinks they will tolerate his hateful speech. It seems to me he does not appreciate the rights he has or the blood that was shed for his rights.

First of all, I apologize for my lack of activity on L2 (with the exception of the past few days).

Second of all, I will be on hiatus throughout the month of November, so posts will be few and far between. I'm participating in National Novel Writing Month, an event during which participants are encouraged to write 50,000 words in the span of 30 days (that equals about 200 pages of text). I've been preparing for the past few weeks and am planning to reach the 50,000 word mark. However, in light of the fact that I have college and outside organizations, as well as friends and family to contend with, I'm devoting every spare moment to writing.

Paul Mason, 48, needs a [$33,000] life-saving [operation] after a compulsive eating disorder left him "super-obese".
He eats 20,000 calories of food a day - EIGHT TIMES the official adult male average of 2,500.
Paul scoffs three family-sized takeaways a night and wolfs down Sunday roasts like snacks.
He has spent much of the past eight years in bed at his home in Ipswich, Suffolk.
His care costs taxpayers an estimated [$165,000] a year.
And now he needs drastic stomach surgery to stop him eating and keep him alive - at a cost of [$33,000] to the NHS.
But first health chiefs have to tackle the problem of transporting Paul to a specialist hospital 152 miles from his home.
They even considered using an RAF Chinook HELICOPTER to airlift him to the unit in Chichester, West Sussex.
They have ruled out that option and Paul will now travel in a five-ton ambulance specially built for obese people at a cost of [$148,000]. An NHS Suffolk spokesman said: "This man is very ill and this is life-saving surgery.

Paul has battled a compulsive eating disorder most of his adult life. His widowed mother Janet looked after him but she died six weeks ago at 76. He now has two carers treating him.
In 2002 a forklift truck had to be used to transport Paul from his bed and into hospital.
At that time he weighed 56st and paramedics called the fire service after finding it impossible to lift him.
Six firemen were also unable to get him on to a stretcher.
Eventually they took out a window and brickwork and knocked down a neighbour's garden wall to get him out.
Paul managed to shed 20 stone in 2006.
At the time he admitted: "You've got to change your mindset when you've got a food addiction. You can't have treats."
But he soon put the weight back on. And in 2007 he complained to his local council that he could not fit his special 3ft-wide wheelchair through the gates of an Ipswich park.

The country is certainly in a sad state when the government considers using the air force to transport a man to surgery, which will be paid for by the citizens of said country, simply because some random man didn't have enough will power to stop eating. Perhaps he should have considered the fact that I'm sure 99% of the rest of Ipswich's citizens can fit through the gates of the park before he decided to complain.

White House Escalates War on Fox News

By urging other news outlets to side with the administration, Obama aides officials dramatically upped the ante in the war of words that began earlier this month, when White House communications director Anita Dunn branded Fox "opinion journalism masquerading as news."

On Sunday, Fox's Chris Wallace retorted: "We wanted to ask Dunn about her criticism, but, as they've done every week since August, the White House refused to make any administration officials available to 'FOX News Sunday' to talk about this or anything else."

The White House stopped providing guests to 'Fox News Sunday' after Wallace fact-checked controversial assertions made by Tammy Duckworth, assistant secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs, in August. Dunn said fact-checking an administration official was "something I've never seen a Sunday show do."

"She criticized 'FOX News Sunday' last week for fact-checking -- fact-checking -- an administration official," Wallace said Sunday. "They didn't say that our fact-checking was wrong. They just said that we had dared to fact-check."

The last time I checked, we were fighting a war abroad. And I somehow, oddly enough, found that war to be far more important than stifling news networks.

Nobel Peace Prize - Why?

Today our President, Barack Hussein Obama, was given the Nobel Peace Prize. Mainly because the Norwegians hated George Bush and tried to snub him by giving this award to Mr. Obama. Over the years this prize has become very, very political, and it seems the Norwegians love socialism and liberalism. And since we have a president who seems to love the Europeans and the European society more than he does his own country, this award was bestowed on him.
Mr. Obama is a true American apologist. I have yet to hear of a speech he's made overseas in which he doesn't tear America down. Mr. Obama has joined the ranks of other Nobel Prize winners like: Yasser Arafat, the Palestinian terrorist - a real peacemaker; Kofi Annan, of the UN - another America hater; Jimmy Carter, another American apologist; and Al Gore, an environmental wacko. And this is just in the last 10 years! It's really too bad that the Nobel Peace Prize that once meant so much has now sunk so low. I fear for our country.

Slight of hand is an art form that gets you to focus your attention on one thing while something else occurs in the hand that you are not watching. This type of thing seems to happen a lot these days in particular; while the media is focused on things such as swine flu, and socialized medicine, they try to pass things right underneath our noses hoping that we might not observe what is truly going on. For example: HR 45, and S 1317. At this point you are probably thinking Doc where are going with this. HR 45 is also known as Blair –Holt Firearms Licensing and Record Sales Act of 2009. Additionally HR 2647 contains a clause for S 1317. Watch now as I pick my nose with one hand while secretly the other is now pulling the underwear out of my butt crack.
HR 45 would make it so that if you wanted to buy a firearm to be finger printed, have a driver’s license and provide them with your social security number. (I said it before and will say it again, that will be the mark of the beast.) You would also have to undergo a physical and mental exam while making it impossible for anyone under the age of eighteen to get to your firearms, and allow law enforcement officers to show up at your house at random to “verify” that you have your guns secured from those underage. So my sisters that have just started driving won’t be able to hunt?
S 1317 gives the attorney general the authority to ban all firearm sales to those on the terrorist, (Oh, we don’t use that word now.) watch list. While HR2647 gives the attorney general the power to determine who belongs on the terrorist (Oops! I did it again!)watch list. Judging from statements made by the present regime that flew the flag of communist China over the White House on the 20th of September this very year,(All in honor of the 60 years of murder and oppression over 2 billion people) I think it is safe to say the people on the watch list will not be people named Habbibee that smuggle uranium into the U.S., but people like me that believe in the constitution and love my guns and my freedom.
Our very only Department of Homeland Security stated that they were more concerned about homegrown (I have no idea what they are calling it if it’s not “terrorism”) from “right wing extremists” we are defined as: “Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue such as opposition to abortion or immigration.” So I think it’s a safe bet that they like big government/ big brother.

But there is still hope for some of us, Pennsylvania is the most recent state to introduced a bill HB 1988 Freedom of Firearms Act that basically we aren’t taking your crap and you’ll have to pry them from our cold dead hands. Or more specifically: The regulation of intrastate commerce is vested in the states under the 9th and 10th Amendments to the Constitution of the United States, particularly if not expressly preempted by federal law. Congress has not expressly preempted state regulation of intrastate commerce pertaining to the manufacture on an intrastate basis of firearms, firearms accessories, and ammunition.

The scene is a very familiar one to most of us. It happened once again to me today; twice sort of. I went to pay my phone bill, and I was the only one that spoke in a manner understandable to the people working there. There was Spanish, some unknown Asian language and whatever that yo yo dog f this f that n word honky cracker mumble stuff that I think is called Ebonics but I’m not certain. I was there for two hours while the poor people working there tried to decipher what they were trying to accomplish. Early this morning while all sane people were still snuggling with their spouse or in today’s society of loose moral standards, their significant other, life partner, or whatever; I was asked for something and had no idea what was being asked of me because it was in another language. Thankfully somebody else that could understand was there because I can’t hand out Tylenol if I don’t understand that you have a headache.
Everywhere you go you see signs in 47 different languages, some that look like a toddler was cut loose with a pack of crayons trying to write something. Then when you call a place other than a human you have to listen for the number for English. Why is that? Our ancestors when they came here they had to learn English if they wanted to function in American society. Now we must tailor ourselves to learn every language known to man including Klingon to appease those that are too lazy to learn English. Right now there are liberals everywhere saying that we need to accommodate them. We need to make it easier for them to live in America. So we have to have signs, books, newspapers, magazines, toll free numbers, and street signs in Greek, Hebrew, Spanish, and that clicking thing that some tribes that have yet to learn what pants are still communicate in. We are doing an injustice to them by allowing this to go on.
The language that is spoken by the vast majority of Americans is English. If you come here and want to be a U.S. citizen you shouldn’t expect everyone else to speak whatever strange dialect that you utter. If I was going to try to live in France I think it would be a benefit to me to speak French, but what do I know, it is normal to expect that everyone should learn English when their national language is something else. The usual attacks made on the English language is that as Americans we go places and expect them to speak English. I don’t think that this is true, the places most Americans go have lots of people that speak English so that we do business with them, because we understand what they say. But if we moved there and expected everyone to know English that would be different.
If we don’t put our foot down soon, somebody is going to get the idea that we have to have everything printed in every language so that they can do whatever it is they are here to do. It isn’t right that anyone should travel to another country and expect them to speak your language unless that is what they already speak. Think about how much money could be saved if we made English the national language. You wouldn’t have to hire translators to rewrite everything and pay extra to print all the additional material in all languages.
In the bible the good Lord made it so that everyone building the tower of Babel spoke a different language so that they couldn’t understand each other. It sewed confusion among their ranks and they never finished. The same applies today, if you are told to draw blueprints for a building and the guy you got stuck with doesn’t speak the same language you will never get done.
So what we need to do is make it required that in order to be an American citizen you can read and write English. It is alright to speak in tongues but you still need to be fluent in English so that everyone else understands you. The Amish back home do this and it works out just fine. Then we can all live in peace and harmony man, cause we all like understand each other man.

Chicago Loses Olympic Bid

There was an honest election that happened in Copenhagen today. ACORN was not involved. Chicago lost in the first round of the election. Perhaps the people that voted realized that if Chicago won the election, it would have been the dirtiest Olympics in history. As far as Obama's Chicago cronies go, it would have been a showcase of corruption, graft and political patronage. This, I'm sure, was a real blow to Mr. Obama's ego. Just watch the media for a few days. There will be some laughs, and then the Obamas will be back to saving the world. Keep heart! We're only 13 months away from the 2010 election, and at that time, we'll vote the bad Democrats out. And in 2012, we'll vote out a bad president, along with the bad Republicans. But, until then, we can just keep on repeating the phrase that our school children are singing: mmm-mmm-mmm Barak Hussein Obama, mmm-mmm-mmm. I don't think we'll all be indoctrinated as easily as these school children.

Hiatus

First of all, I would like to apologize for my hiatus -- this semester has been very busy for me. However, it's given me time to think about Licentia Loquendi and my purpose as a writer here. I've decided to focus more on the college aspect of life in my writings.

Second of all. Why has this semester been very busy for me? I've been taking a class on journalism, which I believe I'm finally beginning to understand. I had started off the semester earning poor grades, but am finally earning higher marks. That, coupled with the fact that my professor never fails to make some sort of degrading comment against conservatives, left me very frustrated in regards to the journalism field. Then there was my foreign policy class. I must admit that we are finally starting to learn about foreign policy (sort of). Since I'm no expert, it's difficult for me to discern lies from the truth, and I find it unfortunate that such discernment is even necessary in regards to professors. If you've not seen "An American Carol," I highly suggest it. The scene about colleges and universities is completely true.

Crazies Glow In The Dark

With Obama calling for the annihilation of nuclear weapons, a new nuclear threat arises. Iran has completed the last tests of its surface to surface missiles; the range of the Shahab -3 is capable of delivering a payload to Israel and parts of Europe. Wow, this does not come as a surprise to me. With the Ayatollah still having too much power (everyone say thank you to Jimmy Carter (who is “advising Obama)(this should raise some eyebrows) and his drunk brother Billy) anything could happen. If anything I believe that we should still have nukes. The reasoning is the knowledge and technology to build them is here, so if we get rid of them how do we know that another despot in places like Iran isn’t hiding his in the desert? It’s like if we took away all of the law abiding citizens guns, then only the criminals would have them.
From the reports these missiles are using solid fuel which shows the sophistication of them. With solid fuel the missiles are much more accurate, so instead of hitting the factory they can hit the school or vice versa. Now let’s think about this; we have had sanctions on Iran every year since 1979, what has this changed? All it does is make them madder than they were at us in 1978, other than that nothing has changed. One of the current reasons that we continue to sanction them is that they harbor Hezbollah, did we ever think that the reason they allow Hezbollah is that we have these sanctions on them and they want to use them as a means to fix that? So let’s take care of this the old fashion way; we’ll bomb their uranium plants, we can make it look like an accident, or just drop a couple bombs from a plane and accept responsibility for our actions. This is a reasonable approach, since they themselves pose a threat to national security, and some nuclear material just might make its way into the hands of Hezbollah or another group. If we destroy the plants like that there would be minimal loss of life, and it would take care of the threat without a large amount of dead and then maybe it will show them that we mean business. All of this talk about talking makes me sick. Have you ever heard the phrase lost in translation? Besides if we show them that we are not afraid to take action then maybe they will stop, obviously talking and sanctions hasn’t worked because we have been doing the same thing for thirty years and there has been no change.
The United Nations is supposed to be a way to peaceably prevent things like this from occurring, yet it doesn’t. I believe the reason is that the Iranians think that since everyone else has one why can’t we? It’s kind of like Rosie O’Donnell saying nobody should have guns, yet she has bodyguards that are packing heat. Next what gives somebody from another country the right to tell me what I can and cannot do? To be honest I think we should get out of the U.N. for the same reason. We already have enough problems with a federal government stepping on the toes of our home states and growing too big for their britches, and now we want an international group to pass laws for our own good. This unifying body whores out the U.S. to fight wherever they want us and nobody else participates. If we are to be in something like that it should be that the burden is shared instead of thrown to us because we are capable. Our founding fathers thought that it was wrong to be governed by a tyrant three thousand miles away; granted the U.N. building is in New York, but the people are not Americans governing Americans, they are random bureaucrats from all over the world trying to take away our guns, and do whatever else to us that would make us subjects like in their countries.
So now that a second whack job has nukes in the past couple months we are more than likely going to put stricter sanctions on them, and talk………… I mean scold them. As a kid a scolding, lecture, or talking to was not nearly as feared as a good spanking. What we need to do is grab by the hair bend them over our collective knees and beat the tan their hides with the switch we made them cut themselves. That is a universal language that everyone understands. Talking will lead to more talking lots of frustration and no effective change.
Nuclear weapons are not a nice thing to do to somebody, but on occasion I think some might deserve it. But they have done some good things such as prevent wars and more loss of life, when have two countries with nuclear weapons fought each other in a direct conflict? Whenever something like Cuba happens at all costs they work to prevent an actual war from breaking out. That is generally a good thing. So maybe they aren’t so bad after all, but still a necessary evil.

The Enda Justifies The Meanies

Imagine walking into a Christian bookstore with your children to purchase a bible, you pick it up and go to pay for it when you look at the (what you are assuming is a guy) and are shocked to see it wearing a pink shirt with a rainbow that says gay pride on it. Is this not odd? I would be shocked and not go there again. But this may very well be happening in the near future.
The Employment Non- Discriminatory Act was supposed to be voted on this past Wednesday, I have yet to find out if this has happened yet. The bill was originally backed in 1994 by none other than the drunken Ted Kennedy, it died in a subcommittee every year. This year they think things are going to be different; Obama himself gives his seal of approval. The bill basically forces people to hire gays, lesbians, and bisexuals. This time around though they have added a part that gives transsexuals and people that either don’t know what they are, or can’t decide. This applies even to religious institutions. So if your church votes on potential pastors, the government may just force you to hire the guy that preaches in drag. Is this right? I think not, one of the reasons that people came to America was religious freedom, and now they are basically trying to take this away from us. If this is passed and you want a job all you have to do is show up and act like an interior decorator and you’ll be guaranteed a job.
Another bill that I find similar in a couple of ways is the Fairness Doctrine; this is so that way the people can hear both sides of the argument. Wait, if I am listening to El Rushbo that is because I want to hear that side of the argument not what Nancy Pelosi has to say. What this is is a way for them to silence the opposition. If you’ve noticed the cause for every right wing thing is Rush Limbaugh, because he is against almost everything they stand for and what they try to accomplish. This is their way to silence him and all of those like him. The liberals have no voice; we on the other hand have numerous: Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Mike Gallagher, and Rush Limbaugh. Who does the left have, Alan Colmes? If they ever do get this passed all shows will be like this, the conservative talking, and the liberal acting like a tool bag, and never being able to say anything because they have no solid base. Every time I watched Hannity and Colmes, Colmes hardly ever said a word. If they base what is “fair” on how much both sides are shown, there will be no talk radio. We listen to that because we choose to listen to it.
We have them scared. They are trying to infringe upon our rights and quiet the voice of reason. Chances are that you never heard of these bills, but they have been around for a long time. But you haven’t heard of these, because they know how we’ll react. What else are they trying to do under the radar? The people are finally starting to act, but not enough.

Honey, Bring Me the Sears Catalog

One of the worst events that a person can experience is when they are driving over a long distance. Everything is going fine until those three cups of coffee and that lousy burrito inside of you decide to take a nose dive into your small intestine without solidifying. With nowhere to turn but a lone truck stop in the middle of nowhere. You run in without giving a thought to the fact that the toilet that you are about to sit on is probably going to give you diseases that nobody has even made up an unpronounceable name for yet. You were lucky this time. You barely got your britches down and started to sit down when you had a major blow out. The pure liquid burrito burns as all of that acid from the hot sauce passes through your buttocks. After the initial shockwave has come to pass, there is a slight lull; you know more is coming, so you wait it out. To pass the time you read the random graffiti on the walls, ranging from the usual for good time call………… to the one that you never saw before: Bathroom tennis! Look left, look right, and the most shocking: the cameras are for research purposes only, please conduct your business as usual. Then that random air plug that holds it all in is released as the sound waves reverberate from the hopper, much like a guitar and in a satisfying plop, the rest comes out. Now satisfied that it all came out alright, and a giant snake didn’t craw up between your legs you go to grab the toilet paper, yes, you know the kind, that cheap single ply that you could use for sand paper and is about as thick as an atom. You start wiping and before you know it you just poked a hole through the tp and now you’ve got doodoo all over your hands. To make matters worse, when you reach for more to finish the job and wipe your hands off, there is no more.
What I have just described is going to be a fact of life if some liberals and environmental mental cases get their wish. According to them America is destroying the planet by using two ply toilet tissue. I know, this is ridiculous, but it is true. You know what’s worse than two ply tp? Three ply! Yes some companies are now making three ply toilet paper. Because of this the world is being destroyed because we wipe our butts. Remember a couple of years back, Sheryl Crow made a big deal that she was going to save the planet by only using one sheet of toilet paper at a sitting. I wonder how that is going for her. I’ve got a few words for her: Viral Gastroenteritis, what we in the medical profession jokingly call poopy fingers. Because if you have it, it means that somewhere down the line you got fecal material on your hands and somehow ingested it, so as a result you’ve got the poops and pukes. Another consideration is the fact that she is a she, and that means they need a little extra tp at times, so you mean to tell me that she is going to continually give herself an urinary tract infection to set an example and save the planet? What about those little poo particles that you miss with the first swipe, are you just going to leave them there, and smell and/ or get diaper rash?
I have heard multiple times over the years that there are more trees on this planet now then when Columbus got here. There are vast forests all over, but since we like being sanitary we are evil and killing earth. What about the rest of the world? The two billion people in China, that’s a lot of poop. Then of course the Indians have a billion people, but I guess they don’t poop, so either they’re full of it or they are non human reptilian creatures that don’t require sustenance. But they aren’t Americans so they are OK.
Trees are a renewable resource, we cut them down, and in a couple of years they will be back. Example: the entire state of Pennsylvania was clear cut, now there are trees everywhere. So they will grow back. It’s not the end of the world because we cut down a couple of trees. I think the groups behind this waste more paper by existing and trying to convert me to a tree hugging yuppie that thinks the best way to control the population of bears is to put condoms on them. They put flyers on my windshield; I look at them then throw them out. So we’ve eliminated the practicality of what and how we should use tp, so let’s look at other options. Did any of you see Sean Hannity last night? Sean talked about the devastation of farm land out in California where the United States government is refusing water to the farmers. All because of a little 2-inch fish! Currently, California is undergoing a drought and the farmers need this water diverted from the rivers to their croplands. These croplands produce 12% of our nation's food. One has to wonder where the wisdom is in turning off OUR water. Because they are turning off our water, unemployment in this area has nearly reached 40%. Many farmers are losing their farms, because the government is more interested in saving a 2-inch fish than saving American jobs. I guess it's more important that we start importing food from China, and keeping Chinese farmers employed, than our own. I think in 14 months, when the next election comes around, there should be some representatives that should be seeking a new job. We have to remember that these resources belong to the American people, and that they should be wisely used - not abused. That's conservation, not environmentalism, and conservation is much more important than environmentalism. Let's get the politics out of conservation.

Constitution Day 2009

Ben Franklin was walking down a street the day after the Constitution was signed, and a lady asked him, "Mr. Franklin, what have you done?" And his answer was, "We've given you a democratic republic. Hopefully, you won't lose it." Our Constitution has been around for 222 years, and I believe this document to be divinely inspired. This is not a living document that needs to be changed to our times. And the rights that are guaranteed by it are scriptural. I fear now we have a president that believes our Constitution is a flawed document, and it seems he's doing his best to circumnavigate it every chance he gets. Last Saturday in Washington D.C., my faith in the people of this country was renewed. Mainly because almost everybody in that 2.2 million crowd had sacrificed financially to attend this demonstration. It was the most polite crowd I was ever in, and the people were from every state in the union. It was honestly like there were no strangers - you could talk to anybody. We now have leaders who have demonstrated that the new foreign policy of our country is apologize and retreat. Our latest foreign policy blunder is our sellout of the Poles and Czechs by the cancellation of the missile defense shield for Eastern Europe. This is reminiscent of Neville Chamberlin in the late 1930s, and how he sold out the Czechs to the Nazis. I hope history isn't repeating itself.

Mad Dog 20/20 & Eun

As we descended onto the landing platform at the Glenmont metro station with our cameras and flags, Mad Dog 20/20 and I, along with four other compatriots who'd traveled with us were slowly surrounded by other flag- and sign-wielding Americans. The metro car was quickly dubbed the "Tea Party Express" and filled with passengers dressed in patriotic garb.
We exited the station at Metro Center alongside people dressed in yellow "Don't Tread on Me" shirts. We stepped onto the sidewalk beside people carrying state flags. Falling into step with the crowd, we merged into the main crowd at Freedom Plaza.

After a great deal of staring in awe at the number of people (which was steadily growing), Mad Dog 20/20 and I joined the crowds that had begun to march toward the Capitol. Patriots filled the streets as we marched side by side and spilled onto the sidewalks. Parents pushed strollers, the disabled rode in motorized wheelchairs, and some senior citizens stood alongside the street bearing homemade signs.

We chatted amicably and chanted furiously. "USA" and "You lie!" were alternately shouted between strains of "God Bless America" and "My Country 'Tis of Thee." As we passed the Newseum, which happens to have the first amendment inscribed on its wall, people cried, "Read that wall!" The Dome, which once loomed in the distance, slowly grew larger as we neared. People continually joined our no-longer silent ranks from the side streets.

Once we reached the lawn of the Capitol, we swarmed onto the lawn and quickly found standing room or set up blankets and lawn chairs. People filled not only the entire lawn, but spilled into surrounding grassy areas and surrounded the pool in front of the Capitol building. After being told that we could not be on the Mall, crowds responded with, "We own the Mall!" (and extended the entire one-mile length of the Mall).

Rumors of numbers flew through the crowds. Prior to the march, 250,000 - 300,000 were expected. As we reached the Capitol, numbers grew to 500,000 - 1 million. CNN later reported "tens of thousands" -- and they were right . . . if you multiply that a few times (I swear, it seemed like tens of thousands were in line ahead of me for the port-a-potty). The UK's Daily Mail reported "up to a million" -- a number closer to the park service's unofficial estimate of up to 2.5 million. Regardless of the actual numbers, a good number of Americans were present yesterday, from every state. Over 450 buses drove to Washington. One couple from Mississippi Mad Dog and I spoke with had sold their vehicle in order to afford the transportation and lodging. Those unable to attend physically attended in spirit, as over 200 tea parties were held nationally. The people who attended weren't astroturfers. They weren't paid to be there. They made sacrifices. They were real Americans, and they represented the real America. The America our government has forgotten.

Since the beginning of time man has ruled/ governed man. This must have seemed like a natural thing to do; the Israelites begged for a king so that they could be like everyone else. In the animal world they have leaders that gain power through violence, with wolf packs the alpha male is determined by whoever challenges the current alpha male and wins. Why this is necessary is beyond me, what does the alpha male do? Tell them when and where they can’t howl at the moon? How often they can poop in the woods? So in theory we could live in peace and harmony without a leader. But the government is supposed to be there for our protection and betterment, so if we planted crops the government can prevent someone from trying to steal our crops. So it is not needed for survival purposes, but we utilize it for a better living.
The United States government was founded as a republic and a democracy, so we vote on people to represent us and make decisions for us by what is suppose to be a majority election. These people are chosen because they share the same beliefs as we do and we have faith in them that they will do what is in our best interest. So if they do something that the majority of us are against then are they really representing us? The democratic party says that the healthcare bill will pass this coming fall. So let’s go to an authority on finding out what the people think. The Rasmussen polls say that 53% of Americans are against the healthcare bill, over all 70% of Americans are for lower taxes and less government services. I think this should tell you something, the democrats are going to do whatever they please. Last time I checked 53% is over half, but heck, what do I know? (Of course these polls are not 100% accurate, they have never asked me my thoughts, so the best way for this would be to have a national vote) They are failing the people that put them in their power. That is not how a democratic republic is supposed to work. Basically what they are doing is seizing power and telling us what we are to do. They could care less what the people are telling them; “this bill will pass.” If it is in our interest and this important that it gets done why have we waited this long for this bill to come to a vote? If it was in the peoples best interest how come there are some many against it?
The power from any government comes from the people, even in a dictatorship. If we all came together and said no we aren’t doing it then they would have no power. This is something that they are trying their hardest to do, and if they do it you will participate. Because it is evil if you don’t have government health insurance. We need to let them know that we are their boss, I have no idea what makes them think that they are better than we are, that we are that inferior that we will elect them to be tyrants over us. I guess all men are created went the way of the dodo; they were once like us, but I guess making a career out of politics you forget where you came from. Our founding fathers worked really hard to prevent our government from being corrupt, but the people need to help. We can’t let the best and most successful system go bad.
I was reading up on other things when I came upon the GOP website and I found something on there that sums up my beliefs and what is best for us and I think deep down everyone does. Individuals, not government, can make the best decisions; all people are entitled to equal rights; and decisions are best made close to home. This is the cornerstone of the republican platform. What is wrong with this? This is simple and it is how our government was meant to work, instead we have people trying to get an even bigger government. Government is for the majority, why are we paying for an ever growing minority to sit on their cans collecting my money and they are doing nothing but getting wasted off of my money.
Today people view the government as the mommy and daddy and that they need to get all that they can from them even though they are grow adults. This is pathetic, that is not the government’s job. I don’t know where eugenics research, and its cover planned parenthood is in the best interests of the majority of the American people. Yet the tax money, our money is being whored out to whoever or whatever someone claims they need money for. So we fund things like General Motors, I’m a Mopar man, and GM isn’t the only car company so why are we paying for this? Yet everyday money gets shelled out for a bunch of stupid things. When a new company is starting why can’t they raise the money themselves the old fashion way? That’s what everyone did at one point and time so it works and doesn’t make everyone else carry your weight and have to pay even more later while getting nothing in return. Common sense should prevail.
The federal government was set up as a weak central government to unify the states, so that way states had most of the power. This keeps the government small so that the power truly comes from the people. But somewhere down the line this was forgotten by enough people that a war was started causing many people to die, the side that won was the side that forgot, and as history shows, it’s the winners that write history. They perverted the true cause to justify what happened, but the truth is still there. It was the War Between the States. The war started in 1861; it wasn’t until after the battle of Antietam in 1862 that the Emancipation Proclamation was written, so if it was slavery that caused it then why weren’t the slaves freed before it started?
When a government gets big it becomes insecure about itself, that’s when you have secret police, and big brother. Because they know people hate them because they are not doing what a government should be doing. They have nothing better to do. That is no way to live, and doesn’t serve in anyone’s best interest except those in power.
So when are we going to stop slaving away for our government? When is it going to start working in everyone’s best interest, and doing what we want it to do? Seems Like Yesterday

Eight years ago this Saturday, we were attacked by Muslim terrorists. It just seems funny to me how most people have forgotten what happened that day. I think most people can remember where they were, just like Pearl Harbor. Except, this was worse - an attack on a civilian target with approximately 3,000 dead (Pearl Harbor had approx. 2,400 dead and was a military target). It seems impossible to me that our president, unknowingly, puts people in positions of power (i.e. the czarist positions) who actually agree with our enemies. I think most people have forgotten the sight of people jumping from the burning towers, and our heroes rushing in to save the people they could. Instead, we see faded or no flags, we have people saying in never happened the way it did, and that the U.S. government was somehow involved. I guess I'm just tired of hearing people apologize to terrorists. Sorry for the rambling; I'm just remembering. I hope you remember, too.
We're going to D.C. this weekend for the big tea party. Hope it does some good!

Comparing Apples, To Peaches, To Pumkin pie

My grandparents have this dog, his name is Gershwin. He is a peekapoo or however it is spelled. He is half Pekinese and half poodle. Now they don’t run around saying that he is a poodle because, he isn’t a poodle, he is only half poodle. So what if he is a poodle, at the same time in order to be 100% correct we have to say that he is Pekinese too. Now maybe you see where I’m going with this. So on what ground do they have to stand on when they declare that El Duce or der Furher, messiah or whatever you want to call him, is the first African American president? He is not, he is just as white as black.
This was a simple plot that continues to be in the news with this regime, the race card. First we push the fact that his dad was born and raised in Africa, and we can forget his mother is from little Wichita. This was to capture the minority vote. And if you were against him, you are racist, you’re not voting for him because he is black! Well if we didn’t vote for him because he is black, we could vote for him because he is white. Or we could put on our blinders and not care if he is black, white, chartreuse, mango, mauve, or vermillion. Voting for someone because of their heritage is just as ignorant as voting against them for the same reason. Now they know why I didn’t vote for him.
I remember in Chicago being accused of being racist because I didn’t vote for Obama. Wow, so I’m supposed to feel guilty because I didn’t vote for someone because his daddyo was from Africa? Now is a good time to get a billion bumper stickers and tee shirts printed up that say don’t blame me, I voted for McCain. Under this current logic they are trying to manipulate the American people into adopting the socialized medicine crap by calling anyone against it racist. Just give it up, the sixties have been over for, at the last time I checked at least; forty years. Get over it, I don’t think it matters if you ride on the front of the bus, and as long as I’m not paying for it, you can have your forty acres and a mule, but I doubt if you’d even know what to do with it. They claim that racism is a big problem in America; boy is that ever news to me. People are scared, they moan and groan about all of the injustice, and say that they didn’t get hired because of their race, gender, sexuality, or something. Well did you ever think that there is somebody that is actually qualified, or better qualified for the job?
The L.A. Times just published a headline entitled Obama’s Fast Losing White Voters, why does it really matter? So that someday I might become president, I am going to try and get on even footing and claim that I am Jewish since I have Jewish relatives somewhere in the distant family. Van Jones - A True American Racist

Van Jones, race baiter and communist, is now a member of the Presidential inner circle. A person really has to wonder what's going on. The President has surrounded himself with people that are, seemingly, very unAmerican. Now Van Jones is the new Green Czar and he's in charge of $30 billion. He is not responsible, or accountable, to the public for anything that he does. These people that the President has put in the Czar positions have not been elected or chosen by the public, but they have a vast amount of power. I don't even know if these positions are constitutional. It seems almost like the President wants a "royal court." Now this Van Jones has uttered a lot of racist remarks - "white" this, "white" that. The "white" race seems to be the great satan. This President came into office on a platform of tolerance and, to be honest with you, I'm seeing no tolerance from him or his "court." What would happen if a white congressman or senator would have said the things that this man has said. What would happen? Better yet, if Congressman Charlie Rangle would have said these things, what would have happened? Nothing!! It seems that our representatives are making the mistake of ignoring the people's wishes. What this country needs is term limits. And we have way too many lawyers in congress. We need tort reform, the illegal immigrants have to go (they should have 90 days to clear up their business in this country and then be gone), we have to get back to basic family values, and honest unbiased media must be the order of the day.
